Great food, everything homemade! Even the sausages, which are fantastic. I'm doing sausages myself, and these are very good. The hosts are one of a kind and super friendly. Just go there, you will have a real treat!

Excellent for all meals.
You should definitely try the leaf wrapped chicken and home made sausage.
The Canadian-Lao couple that run the place are very friendly and helpful!

Amazing local food. We had both specials and went back the next night. Would give it more stars if possible. Chicken in banana leaf and also the lemongrass sausage salad. Pizzas were also very good.

Delicious food, home made bread for the sandwiches, home made pizza dough for great pizza and superb Lao/Thai influence food. Everything is made fresh including the yogourt, great for breakfast lunch and dinner.
Try the ice coffee made with ground Lao coffee beans from the Bolovan plateau.

I can't speak highly enough of this place and the wonderful couple (and their adorable little girl) that own it! From the fresh baked bread made by Somai, to the incredible home-cooked Laos food made by his wife, I ate here for every meal on Don Khon and enjoyed everything I tried. Try the homemade fresh yogurt and museli for breakfast, sip on an iced coffee midday and talk about anything and everything with Somai, have a filling sandwich for lunch (the sesame chicken sandwich is a sandwich of my dreams), and leave room for black sticky rice and curry or masman for dinner as you watch the sun set over the bridge. I didn't try the pizza, but the dough is freshly made and looked really good.

The view is wonderful, but the genuinely kind and lovely family living here is even better. I felt so taken care of and welcome by their family, even staying way too late drinking beer laos and chatting about future travel plans! You can catch the boat back to the mainland from here early morning too, they are really wonderful with giving all sorts of travel advice to help you travel the smartest and easiest.

I will be back to visit this wonderful place! Thank you for everything.

Excellentes pizzas et excellentes salades le toute avec des produits frais et fait maison pour ce qui est possible.
Prix légèrement plus élevé mais vu la qualité c'est normal.

Really pleased to get good quality pizzas made with authentic ingredients while on Don Khone. The environment is as simple as it gets but they successfully do a few key dishes really well. We are there four times during our stay in Don Khone.

I also recommend placing a sandwich order with them the Night before if you are departing the area by bus. Particularly towards Cambodia. We were able to pick up the sandwiches at 07:30 the next morning and they were delicious and viewed with hungry eyes by some of our fellow travellers.

The name of this restaurant is Our kitchen. They sell delicious food, such as pizza with fresh ingrediënts and herbs, tasty salads with a lovely dressing etc. A place you must visit when you are on Don Khon!

Pizza, curry, traditional Lao food such a Laap, yoghurt, fresh bread - all homemade! It's run by a lovely family, situated very close to the old French bridge and is an excellent place to watch the sunset.

Having tried all the riverside restaurants on Don Khon(e) that looked even remotely inviting, this establishment stood head a shoulders above the rest.

While its competitors all had nearly identical menus featuring well over 200 (I'm not joking) dishes, Pizza Don Khone offers a more realistic number of options.

I have to confess that during my nine day stay on the island, I must have eaten there at least five times. Luckily I soon discovered I wasn't alone in my gluttonous habit; I saw other familiar faces who had also become fans!

The pizza dough is made daily and the toppings high quality. The same is true for the more local food offerings. Oh, and the coffee is ace too.
