Just a overnight stopover with many options for food and restaurants. Surprisingly lots of indian food can be found

Wild West of Laos. We got here at a night landing on the two day trip up Mekong. It was crazy, but amazing. Be careful offloading as we had at least two people hit the water. Watch your bags as they are "inspected" by local kids. Lights go out when generator is turned off regardless of where you are. And it is pitch black. Fortunately our cell phone emitted enough light to get us home. We only stayed a night but it left such an impression on us. Wake up early so you can wander village before getting back on boat.
