We found this place out of the blue, we weren't expecting to find such a hidden gem. Out of mainstream there is an amazing park with a nice trekking to understand how some of the local tribes live. Also great and healthy vegetables are available, locally grown.
This is a lesser known attraction where u can spend your wholeday here , enjoy the view and nature , do some zip line .
The entrance is only 20000 kips ,i was only able to cover a quarter of this place as i need to visit kuang xi fall as well later noon.
There is so much to see and best thing is there a lovely cafe at the top of mountain overlooking surrounding jungle.
One thing i wish them to improve is to have better road access.
The 7km unpaved road is torturing by motorbike .
It is a very beautiful park. There is water in the waterfalls even in the dry season. There are plenty of nice walking roots, we went through pretty much all of them in around 3 hours.
Beautiful natural environment. Highly recommend a visit. Even choose a walk in the jungle canopy or zip line adventure.
Great place to spend hours exploring the paths. Views really great as well.
Zip lining was fun, but not much else to do. Understand what the intent of the park is, however in need of some updating. Very beautiful location.
It’s an absolute wow experience. The Zipline was amazing. The nature and the views stunning and gorgeous. You can see all the effort the people put into this park with such a love to every detail. Come here and enjoy the waterfalls, the gardens and the views with a nice drink and some food! Hardly recommended! If you have to decide between Kuang Si Falls and Nahm Dong Park - definitely NDP!
Beautiful place! Just have a walk and enjoy the nature. You also have to try the local coffee.
Awesome place with almost no people present. Quiet and relaxing Unfortunately a little bit off site but absolutely worth a ride.
Quiet place with great waterfall
Nahm Dong Park was a great afternoon out. From pickup at the hotel to delivering back it was well worth the money. Professionally run with modern well maintained safety equipment. Sam and his team of safety staff make you feel safe and excited at the same time.
Extremely humid and I noticed the effects after completing the 6 Zip line legs and walking back. The last 30m of steps to ascend had me quite bushed. Extra water bottles are provided and I thought I had drank sufficient but obviously not.
There are lots of small waterfalls and places to cool off. The main reception area has several places to relax and try some wonderful Lao food and drinks. Had a bbq fish with lots of greens and two different herbal teas. Wonderful food and drinks.
Thanks
You have a choice of doing the Zip line legs first or after a wander and dip. I would recommend doing it first.
Thanks Sam to you and your team.
It is a very beautiful nature park. There are restaurant with organic food, coffee shop with the great view of mountain ranges. Moreover, there are activities that you can do here as zip lining along the jungle and waterfalls which is very great to try once there; making Sa paper frame with your own patterns.
Nice park with some great views of the mountains and valley below. The main attraction is the waterfall, but during our visit it was dry. During rainy season it should have quite a lot of water and provide some great views, but since it was dry, it was rather disappointing. The other activities more than make up for it though. All in all it's a nice place to get away from the city for a day.
Love the place! This is how I imagine the garden of Eden.
Also very good food available in the restaurant!
This place is quite new and very beautiful. The stuff is super kind. We made ziplining there and felt save all the time. Ziplining is cheap and fun as well. Piad 100.000 kip each for long ziplining. Meanwhile and after the guide take us for a walk and served us several nice fruits (which some i never heard od them before). They even packed us some fruits for take home, and thats for free! We will come again. By the way u can swim here in the waterfalls, eat good food, discover fruits and animals (f.e. bees) and sleep here a night. I think it is not really known. On a perfect day we met only a few people walking around. The street is not that good for the last 5km but u take only 20 min from luang prabang center. Highly recommend!
