What a lovely little oasis of calm. Well worth a visit before or after hitting the waterfall. Lots of butterflies and friendly cats and dogs, plus a duck. Run by a lovely couple dedicated to teaching local children more about butterflies and ecology. Well worth the 40000 kip.

This place feels like a little retreat just outside the tourist madness of the water falls. The garden has a beautiful collection of flora and the amount of butterflies is staggering. There is usually some of the
Staff to explain a little bit about the butterflies and their natural importance. You can see them is all sizes, shapes and stages of their lives: caterpillars, chrysalis, cocoons and the final stage: the butterfly. Come on a sunny day; then they are most active. In the middle of the garden you can get a free foot skin treatment from the little fish in the pond, and there is a cafe with food coffee cake and sandwiches. Good vibes here!

Awesome place, awesome people, super experience! It costs 40000 kip to get in and the park is just stunning and very relaxing.

This is an excellent place to go after or before you hit the waterfalls. Trust me, it is a worthwhile detour. To give you some context, I would rate this higher than any butterfly park in South East Asia (including Singapore or KL). This remarkable facility is run by some very friendly foreigners who support the education of butterflies to the local community. Children enjoyed learning the various stages of development and watching the butterflies (more than 30-80 species) flutter around them - even a few landing on their heads. Do give this place a chance. It is completely worth it.
