The place is super quiet and you'll sleep with animal's sounds.
Views from my room were stunning.
It's located on the way out to the lagoons, but a little bit far from the town center.
WiFi is only available at the reception.
No power outlet near the bed.

Really nice place with great stuff. We've been in room n. 7 (60 000/nigh) and only disadvantage here was no hot water and flush-yourself toilet without the seat. There is really big lizard living near the toilet window (I liked it, my girlfriend not) Guest house have tasty kitchen for reasonably prices.

Good value for money, we paid 60 000 kip for bungalow. Very basic, but we liked it. Nice chillout area. No wifi in bungalow. Food was rather bad. Guy at the reception was friendly.

While the rooms are decent the staff is rude and unresponsive. Furthermore, the food is quite bad. WiFi is only ‘available’ in reception, but doesn’t work.

Really nice place to stay, on the other bank of the river. The bungalow are situated in a exotic garden and far from the noise of the city center of Viang Vien. Peaceful and right on the way to go to the nice rural scenaries of Viang Vien backcountry.

Nice comfortable room with fantastic views over the countryside. Relaxed atmosphere and the on site restaraunt serves good food.

We stayed for 6 nights cuz we just couldn't convince ourselves to leave the beautiful property and spectacular views.

Want someplace away from the noise of the main town? Stay here. Prices are very reasonable and the accommodation was superp.

The communal area was a nice hub of a place to linger after dinner and the staff were very good, making sure that when it looked like our bus was not going to arrive for us as we waited on the other side of the river, they phoned and buzzed around until it met us. Nice work guys!

Stayed here for a couple of nights and also extended our stay. This is a very comfy and nice guesthouse with several bungalows and rooms in a little park. Therefore, it does not feel like a guesthouse and it has a very relaxed atmosphere. Food is available all day, is very delicious and affordable. The staff is very helpful and speaks english. 100% recommendation, we are coming back.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Maylyn. The view of the mountains was incredible. Also, I rented a bicycle and rode around the nearby Hmong area, which was really cool. This is a great location for being away from the drunk and stoned backpackers who frequent other parts of this beautiful city. The owner (his name is Joe as I recall) was a chatty, friendly guy. The price was very reasonable. If you're there during the monsoon season (as we were) the area does flood (you can see it in one of the pictures I uploaded). But the guesthouses are elevated high enough that they don't get wet.
