Everything looking amazing at the surface. Nice little resort, family business, food delicious. For my own disappointment, the cleaning is superficial, there is not really silence and the food is far away from home made despite it's great taste, mostly artificial (as we asked for some tips n tricks on receipts and received some market all ready made basic products). But yeah You cannot have them all. A nice stop if you want to visit surroundings

The restaurant:
If you are looking for high quality, super delicious food with big portion sizethis is it.
The restaurant is perfectly clean and offers a beautiful view on the river. During our 4 days on the island we have tried different restaurants and Mama Leuah was our favourite. The food is amazing. You can choose from a lot of different dishes. Everything we tried was super delicious, fresh and served nicely. We can especially recommend the salads and the „Schnitzel“. If you have any questions or extra wishes (allergy,) Lutz (who is original from Germany) will help you. He is super friendly.
Don‘t miss this place!
The guesthouse:
The little cottages with river view are very cosy and super clean. Each little house has a balcony with 2 hammocks and each bed is equipped with a big mosquito net. We could see the sunrise from our bed which was wonderful. We could book our ticket for Kambodscha (Siem Reap) directly at the guesthouse and everything worked out very well. This was super helpful. Thank you Lutz for being so nice and helping us with all the organisation.
Make sure to book early as the rooms are booked out quickly.response / report this review -

Was so a great start there.
The rooms are nice and clean. The restaurant is a hit. Loved everything we had there. Normally I don't order German food outside of Germany, but arrive everybody was talking so good about the hunter steak and Schnitzel, I tried the schnitzel and it was awesome.
Would definitely recommend to friends and also come back again.
Unfortunately we had to leave for a urgent family reason. Lutz helped us to get to the airport in time.response / report this review -

Awesome schnitzel, a bit more expensive than local dishes but really worth it, the plate is really big ( 49 000 kip )

Stayed 4 nights here, really nice place very relaxing, great food and good value. Bit of a walk from the main town on Don Det but perfect spot to relax. Huts are clean, mosquito nets and bathroom has a cold shower.

Stayed here 4 nights and we barely left the place, only to go cycling 1 day and tubing 1 morning.
Very relaxed vibe here, food choice is vast and mostly superb. Lutz is a 1 man machine - the service is excellent, you may as well be in Europe with this level of service and after 2 months in Asia and alot of poor service this stay was well needed.
Yes you can find rooms for half the price or less, but paying a bit more here gets you away from the idiot crowd and a very good level of service.

Best food we had in don det by far. Great value for price. River views and nice mood. I recommend salads, mine had a delicious vinaigrette, difficult to find such good salads over there.

Overestimated! Went there for breakfast. Had to wait veeeeery long before I got my order and it was nothing special; fruit with yoghurt and not homemade. took 45 minutes
I was not in a hurry but this was over the top Will not go back! There are better places with friendlier people. Sorry to say so.response / report this review -

Did not tried the bungalows but concerning the restaurant MAN it was good, i took the sweet and sour and it was absolutely fantastic. One of the best meal of my trip so far !!! Do not hesitate a second and go there !
