  Great sized rooms with good bed aircon separate bathroom tv and balcony. Brekkie next door until renovations finished. Sweet and directly opposite minimart and great coffee carr. ANZ ATM directly out front gate.

  I've never stayed at this place but seen a few rooms. This is one of the long running hotels in the city but it is dated. Chances are you can easily find fancier rooms with better facilities for the same price or less indeed.
  
  I don't know how long a hotel like this can compete with new emerging boutique types but personally I hope to see this one still up and running in the next 10+ years.., sadly already seen similar old hotels gone out of business over the last decade or so.
  
  Note on the premises are also a hair salon and a massage parlour.

  The large double rooms are fabulous, and far more classy than you would expect. Unfortunately, I got a smaller room this trip and it has bad lighting and seems a bit rundown. The food in the restaurant is quite good. Overall I like the eccentric quality of this hotel, and its location.
