A true mixed bag!
This hotel has amazing and friendly staff that go above and beyond. They do their best to make your stay pleasant but they are let down by a very disappointing hotel.
What I liked:
The friendly staff, World Class gym and buffet breakfast.
What I hated:
Rooms with no temperature control. Went in the winter and the heat was turned on and even though they came in to turn it down, my room never cooled. It was the longest two days of my life.
Also, the rooms have one or two outlets. Non beside the bed. If you need to charge your phone and computer, well good luck! You have to have one or the other, not both. Rooms are updated but Lobby needs some upgrading. Things still look like they are from the 80s.response / report this review -

The comfort of the hotel is just terrible. Room temp. above 26/28 degree which can not be cooled down - and even with window open and -40 outside it's not getting colder. Forget about to sleep with such a heat! The mechanic is totally broken and not functioning! Don't come to this hotel to relax until major investment has been done to bring this hotel up to 3 star level.
It's true that the swimming pool and sauna did not work recently and the hotel staff did not knew well about this situation. You are anyway not briefed nothing during check in about fitness-center etc. Nobody cares.response / report this review -

We organized a meeting there. Staff was helpful and polite. However, if you have a lot of staff to carry in ugly boxes like we did make sure to talk with staff before arriving there. We had to wait for 20 minutes as the main entrance is too beautiful to carry this ugly boxes through it. We had to goto the 1st floor and one of the guys helped us carry it on a carriage, however asked a payment for it. So beware if you take a carriage with a guy you should be prepared to buy.

Went there for Annual sale Bazar organized by Ambassador's Spouse Association in Astana. This event is gradually becoming popular. Probably they should choose a big venue next time.
