One of the few tourist attractions in Almaty, it is worth the drive for those who have never been here. You can walk to the Green Bazaar and if you have the energy all the way up the hill to the mall.

Very good place for a nice stroll. However, it does feel unsafe sometimes cos you can see some homeless people but they are fine and normally do not bother you

It is a nice place for lunch time walking. It is relatively small, but well maintained. You can even see squirrels playing and feasting sometimes. Less often than before but still can. Cathedral is also here. It is quite different from traditional European Cathedrals, but it is very beautiful outside, but even better inside.

Nice park with a cathedral, museum, and monuments all within walking distance. Perfect for a stroll when the weather's good. Decent eateries in the area.

Although really nice park as a concept the lower part of it nearing Gogol St is normally full of drunks and unpleasant people. Watch out for your pockets.
