Park is spacious and green, but couple of years ago people were not allowed to rest on the lawn, which kills the whole point of a park. Not sure if they changed that rule

Though the name is a little bit cult-of personality-like of the present President of Kazakhstan, his early life-size statue eerily supports my conviction. (Though he's quite an excellent leader by the way.) This park is one of my favorite when I am staying in Almaty. At the entrance you will be greeted by a pillared gate whose iron grills have kazakh traditional motifs, floodlights illuminates this gate during the night. The park is huge, there are also some fruit trees that locals picked the fruits during summer and autumn. The park is gloomy during Winter but lively and wonderful during the rest of the Seasons, especially spring.

Very nice park. People come here to work out. Big garden behind which is very nice to take casual walks. When there is no smog, you see very beautiful mountains behind the park. Its a nice place to spend 1-2 hours here.
