Very nice Hotel, one of the classic in Almaty, nice view of the mountain or the city, in the top floor it's a bar-restaurant with and incredible view

Soviet built hotel. Rooms are basic (incl. the "luxury" room). Best thing about this hotel is the fact that it is in the centre of Almaty allowing you to go out and try the sights, restaurants and bars.

The room I got first was completely run down, electricity kept turning off because of the faulty fuse (which I had to fix myself before they locked the fuse box). Eventually they moved me to a renovated room. Its design was terrible, there are two bathrooms but none of them is really convenient. One cannot prevent water from the shower to flood the floor, but the worse thing was the smell that sometimes came from the bathroom at night - as if the sewage pipe was leaking. The location is great, but I've heard there are much better hotels nearby.

The location of the hotel is good. The rooms are not in very good condition. There is only cross-fit saloon exists for sports. It would be good, if there were a few running bands.
But overall, for this price, the quality is normal.response / report this review
