The worst ramadan buffet. Over-priced, over-rated and bad service. Buffet trays are empty, not being refilled and overall dirty. Chefs are cocky and table attendees are not present. Overall disappointing and terrible.

Good place to stay
Have been staying here at multiple times for joining ship and while signing off from ships.
Have been renovated last year
Buffet is good, however lacks indian cuisine from the menu, but arabic stuff is excellent..

Friendly staff at the reception but this is the only positive note. This hotel is a good example of what you have to avoid when you design a hotel, bad parking system (called smart parking !!!), access to the rooms through the gym I had three breakfast but was proposed a tea or coffee only the last day, fortunately there is a Starbucks next to the hotel. When my electronic lock stopped working I had to wait 25 minutes outside the room before I technician came to open the door.

It feels like motel not a hotel. Very cheap furniture rooms and bathrooms are disgusting. Hotel service is very good though. Stuff are friendly. Most people come here for swimming pool which is good

My review is specifically related to the new Starbucks at the Palms hotel, and the parking situation. To go to the hotel you now are required to pay a parking fee of KD2. I have lived in Kuwait for ten years now and have never been required to pay for parking at the Palms. If you go to Starbucks, the company will pick up KD1.500 of the tab, requiring you to pay only 500fils for parking.

Before this Starbucks closed for renovation, I used to go to it every single morning before work, usually spending KD10 or more on coffee you myself and my colleagues. (That works out to KD50 a week, times that by roughly 34 weeks since I'm a teacher and don't work during the summer, or for about 6 weeks worth of holidays, and that works out to approximately KD1700, or the equivalent of about US$5780--which is insane(!), I realize.) Now, all that said, there is a Starbucks in the Arabella complex directly adjacent to the Palms hotel (also with paid parking, though you've been asked to pay for parking there since the complex opened) AND a Starbucks in the Al-Bidaa strip where the parking--and lots of it--is 100% FREE. There are also Starbucks store in the Salwa and Mishref co-ops, and probably a lot of other very close-by places that I am forgetting in my irritation with this latest development.

Needless to say I will not be going to the Palms Starbucks. EVER. Because this is absolutely asinine. I mean really, Palms? You don't make enough money that you needed to start charging for parking? That's pretty low, even for Kuwait standards.

My advice to anyone visiting the Palms is, stop by Starbucks and purchase a lollipop for 250fils, so you can get the KD1.500 knocked off your parking tab and will only end up having to pay a grand ridiculous total of 750fils to park.

I like the apartment with 2 rooms. It needs some more decoration but it is nice for small family.

Swimming pools and sea side is fantastic.
Me and my family with kids like it and we willing to come back some time.

Price is ok

Hints be careful of the sun burn if you willing to have tanned

For its size and pricing, it's one of the best resorts in kuwait. We came in an hour prior to our check-in date and they still let us in. Welcomed us with a lil anniversary fruit basket in our room too. Friendly staff. Clean, spacious apartment, stocked up kitchenette, hot tub-fitted bathroom and pretty much all the amenities you'd expect. The pools, gym & beach area weren't crowded but the Palm restaurant runs out on its buffet items pretty quickly so get there early! Also, great selection of dining places around the resort if their own restaurants don't appeal to you.
