This is a fun experience to do with friends. Definitely go early so you're not waiting in line to take pictures and you can take crazier pics. It's literally a series of photo-ops but it's fun to do something silly. This is great for families and kids.
The AR illusions was an interesting effect, but it relied on a buggy app. Sometimes the app would be slow to save, sometimes fast, sometimes would turn off the phone screen and then the app wouldn't load the camera and had to reset the app. They needed to put more effort in the app since it's the key part of the attraction, spent more time closing and starting the app then using it.
The museum was pretty fun. Only gripe I have about it was the cost compared to everything else in Korea. It's 18000 krw for entrance into the trick eye and ice museum. There's a love museum upstairs with separate entry fees. The museum was very tiny and supposedly updates their exhibits regularly. There's an app that creates an alternate reality when viewed through, but it's super glitchy. Use the app then delete it after you're done.
The ice museum is very cold but small. Slide down the ice slide after you walk to the end of the museum. Don't forget to grab a poncho and seat pad on the way in!
Went here with a friend and it was fun the whole way through. Might feel a little childish at times but if you let yourself go a little, you can have a really great time. Would recommend a visit if you're in the area
Loved this place. It was so fun, and you could easily spend a whole day here. There's actually a few different 'museums' all in the same building--trickery, ice, and love museums. They're all lots of fun. Be sure to take your camera with you!
My two sons and I joined a packaged tour from Hong Kong and were taken here in February, 2015. We had a lot of fun at the Trickeye Museum and the Ice Museum. I had no idea where are the museums but writing this review helps me get a clue where I have been, and how to get here next time!
A non-boring way to spend about an hour. You can take cool pictures. Once is enough.
A great place to go. Remember to download the trickeye app in your smartphone to enjoy the AR experience in the various scenes. The app can be used to take pictures and video. It is fun.
Also, there is an interesting AR/VR game Center where you can play numerous VR games there. The all-you-can-play charge is 2000won. It is definitely worth the money spent
Lot's of great opportunity for photos. I loved all the trick shots. The price was very reasonable as well. The ice museum ticket came with the cost of the trick eye museum. My date froze inside of 10 seconds in the door, it was really cold but with jeans on l was fine, she wanted to bail asap. But it was so hot outside l wanted to stay? All in all a great deal.
Good fun for groups. Use their phone app for A.R. effects on a few paintings. 18k including ice museum ( which is so cold you'll only spend 5 mins) 3k discount if you download their app.
Lots of fun. Take a camera and some company. Some of the artworks are just hilarious!!!
Located in the middle of Hongdae. So much fun. Try avoid Saturday and Sunday, a little bit too crowd.
Pretty clever attraction. A little pricey for the 20 minutes you'll spend there - but the phone app definitely provided value.
Why God, why? Tackiest place you can imagine. Ultimate tourist trap.
