  문경에서 등산하기 좋은 산이다. 주흘산은 아름다운 문경새재를 즐길 수 있는 산으로도 유명하다.

  문경새재 내에 있는 대표적인 산(약 1,100M). 보통 1관문에서 시작되는 탐방로를 따라 오르는데 후반부에 1,000개가 넘는 계단으로 이루어져 있어 오르기 쉬운 산은 아님.
