  Final stop heading North from Seoul, not much to see here, station was mostly built to show the potential rail link to the North

  Remarkable history behind this station. If politics did not stand in the way the railway could have facilitated both countries as one nation enormously.
  
  There is this railway and highway in great condition to use but closed to the public. You could technically cross the countries within five minutes by rail or road, but no, you have to take a plane from Pyongyang to Seoul, or train back to Beijing, China and a plane to Seoul.
  
  Dorasan Station is very modern and serves as a tourist attraction. You can purchase a fake ticket and get through barrier to the platform. Clean and tidy but empty. You can tell it is part of propaganda show. Such a waste.

  Eerily empty train station on the rail line between S Korea and the north. This is the farthest north train station in S. Korea right on the DMZ birder with the North. The hope is that it will allow Korea to connect to the major train services across Asia and allow for shipment of goods via rail instead of ship to the rest of Asia and on to Europe.

  This is a strange place. The signs and pictures inside the train station illustrate the potential this station showed in providing a link between North and South Korea. Its worth checking out as part of a tour.
  
  Since the train station is only visited by the occasional tourist, the bathrooms are really clean.

  Dorasan station was opened in April 11, 2002.
  This station connecting South and North Gyeongui Railroad Line from June 14, 2003. But no train to North at this time.
  Book a Korail DMZ Tour from Seoul Station to visit this empty station.
  3rd Infiltration Tunnel, Dora Observatory and Peace Park also included in this tour.
  Book in advance.

  I know this is not the most exciting train station. But that's the point. It should be a busy exciting place connecting North and South Korea. It was interesting seeing an empty station and warehouses that should be used in a unified Korea. One day hopefully.
