If you love reading books this is the place for you. Most of the books in Korean but they have wide variety of English Japanes and Chinese books as well. They also have a huge stationary store as well to buy gifts cards etc

Wouldn't have known it was a bookshop from the outside, head down to the basement and it's all there. A great range of English language books as well as the Korean editions. Plus there's generally a copy of each book to flick through to help you choose.

Super easy to find everything, busy but friendly staff and lots of places to sit and read for hours. Good english selection.

One complaint, korean books translated to english are kind of mixed in by genre Wish they had a seperate section

Kyobo is a large corporation and their book stores are good. This location has a good selection of english books, Japanese, and Chinese as well. I recommend the visit!

One of the biggest book stores in Seoul. They have a reasonable foreign language section but not huge. You can order almost any book through their helpful staff though! 😄

My second favorite bookstore in Seoul. They also have a great stationary section and cafe in the basement. It's just outside of Shinnonhyeon station on line 9.

While the store is clean and aesthetic, it doesn't have enough literature to justify itself as a bookstore. About a third of the store is dedicated to various non-print merchandise, the other third on self-help books, and the other third on workbooks and test prep books. There's hardly any fiction book.

Great selection of books. It also has a decent selection of English books. It's right next to subway line 9, and it is in the walking distance from the Gangnam station. It is almost always crowded.

It used to have an excellent English selection back in around 2011. Recently (2015) it was renovated and the instore selection for both good ESL books and college level books in English shrunk. Sadly, so did the classics section. I recommend their online or instore ordering.

Big selection of books including a foreign books section. They will even order books for you if not available. Price matching is available which I recommend as their prices are on the higher end conpared to other places.
