The lake is gorgeous! The sunset over the lake is beautiful. The loud music that the villagers play seems to disturb the peace of the lake.

Well worth the trip. Bring something to bite and it'll be enjoyable. Go solo and potentially find people there, or go with a group. They can be arranged. Also take the walk around the lake. Good scenery and it's short.

Super place. Very cool to swim. In a volcanic crater. Although I didn't swim far away from the dock. It's 50 meters deep and a little strange to swim far. Grab a hammock and bring some lunch and a book and enjoy. I rode a bike from Balung.

This is a wonderful place that only the residents of Cambodia go. Is not a typical tourist spot which keeps it low key and comfortable. It's out of the way enough that the tourists won't go. The water is the right temperature that you are never cold. Life jackets are free to use fir those that are not great swimmers. There are huts available to use to party on and they all have hammocks.

It's an amazing place to visit early in the morning when there are few locals. Add they arrive, it gets a bit noisy with all the speakers with Cambodian electro and dirty as few people use the bins.

This lake is one of the most impressive natural features in cambodia. The clear clean lake is warm and excellent to swim in. There are huts for free with hammocks which you can even order food too (it's pricy to do that though). The lake is sacred so women must wear a top and shorts over their swimming costume. Also there are only a few vendors, selling very little food. There are some clothes and gifts made by minority people on offer. There are restaurants just outside and beer can be drunk in the huts but not at the docks.

Essential destination if you stay in Banlung. Its cool crystal-clear waters are best enjoyed early morning before too many people settle down for picnic.
