It's really embarrassing as I am Khmer but I think that this place is lake for swimming. It's historical building and I really pity the oldest of the temple. My friend spend nearly 2h 30mn to walk around and we really in love with design of the build. I do proud this place in the forest. I want to go there again with my professional camera to capture all amazing building.

About 2 hour tuktuk ride away from the usual backpacking hostels - guide recommended for me to leave at 6am, and reach by 8. It was the best advice: I managed to catch the gorgeous sunrise on the way there, and was the first to reach and had the entire place to myself to explore and take uninterrupted photos.

Fast forward to 9.30, the place was teeming with tour buses and crowd 😂 cues time to depart.

In my opinion not worth the long trip from Siem Reap.
It is not that mystic as supposed to be. A lot of stones lying around making a mess and not a kind of natural spectacle. The temples in Angkor are really more fascinating!
And if there is a glimpse of mystic with this temple then the Chinese Walking Dead Groups are destryoing anyways the atmosphere! If you come here after 9am, then no chance to have a little silence or space to do photographs.

A must visit addition to your Siam Reap tour. The temple is barely touched, except for a wooden walkway that makes it easier for you to visit the top of the ruins. Have your guide share tales that are dipcted in the murals for a fuller appreciation of the history. Take your time, at least spend an hour and half.

Our favorite temple in Siem Reap, we went in the afternoon and there were barely any tourists, lots to see, it really feels like being inside an Indiana Jones movie. We spent about 2 hours. There are some guards walking around in uniform, they speak very little English and will try to start guiding you to places were you should take pictures and then ask you for 2usd per person.

Nice wooden walkway through a large portion of the site. Was hoping to stone carvings. The weathering on this site is distinct on the larger statues. Only saw a few intact carvings. The tree roots in this place is amazing, very strong.

Wow, this is by far the best temple I've been to in Cambodia. I swear, this is something out of a video game. The colors are so rich and eye catching. It's about 1 hour and 40 minutes away from Siem Reap, but totally worth the trip. You won't be disappointed. The place is pretty humid, so be sure to bring a water bottle.

Hired a driver and it took about 1.5 hours to reached here from Siem Reap. Had amazing view along the road!

If you’re really looking for an adventure inside a lost temple kind of feeling, this temple is the ultimate choice.

Vast area and mainly unrestored because the condition is pretty bad and the Mother Nature took over its spot.

Unfortunately it was flooded with Chinese tours of which they somehow blocked the way during our walk on the bridge, yelling at each other and that disturbed the serenity.

The ultimate Indiana Jones experience. A spectacular sight to behold. Unrestored and in ruinous state. Hidden and lost in the jungle of Cambodia. Nature took its course and the whole site has been overrun by plants. Trees grow out of stone, bones wrapp5around getaways, roots have stretched through walls combine with parts of the temple which have collapsed creates a sense of a romantic ruins.

This is a complete temple, some say it was preparation work for Angkor Wat. It's hasn't been much repaired and the trees are clearly having their way but that's actually what makes the atmosphere unique.

I arrived at the eastern gate and could see that access would be difficult. There were a group of guides sitting in the shade fifty meters to the right so I approached them and enquired about the guiding fee. USD 3 for an hour was a bargain so, without further ado, I let the guide take the lead. Note: the local guides are invaluable for small details and information which, if you wanted to do it alone, you would miss out on completely. Also, the guides at all of the sites I visited spoke reasonable English as well. Even though some the site looks look a bomb has gone off – jumbled masses of stone work everywhere – the park staffs have made negotiating the site easier by putting a boarded walkway in place. My guide, being aware that I was keen on getting some good photo’s, made a point of doing detours off the walkway to look at stuff that was less accessible. Incredible. Must visit. Exploring the many nooks and alcoves of the temple ruins was a real highlight. We hired motorbikes from siem reap and made a day trip out of it.

Amazing temple, you can enjoy the place without crowds and in a natural setting because of its natural deterioration. It's far from the city so many people will avoid to come here.

It's 1.5 hr drive from Siem Reap but it's our favorite temple of all visited. This temple is much less restored compared to most others. The ruins and trees all co-exist naturally. The atmosphere is very peaceful and mysterious. From the fallen big stones, you can picture how grand it should look in the old time.

It's about 1.5 hours away from Siem Reap area, but totally worth visiting this temple during your time in Angkor Wat. It's one of the must see. Not very crowded here, and it's mysterious atmosphere to explore around the entire site. Lots of bugs, and watch out for snake. Do wear bright color like red, yellow, blue to take photos with. Beautiful places.
