There are two home stay houses as part of the Green Home. I stayed in the Green Home II (which is going to be renamed soon as Jaya Green Home, if I'm not mistaken) with my partner for two nights, and we had a wonderful time.
Vuthy, who runs both home stays, was massively helpful and really responsive to all our questions. The room had AC, wifi, and a private bathroom. The shower was reaaally nice after a long day of touring the temples. You can get a tuk tuk to pick you up from your doorstep, and it's not hard to come back after a night out at Pub Street. We went on a bullock cart ride and had a beautiful tour of the countryside. There's a dining area at the other home stay (a 2 min walk away) with a stunning garden and a great view, and we had a delicious last lunch there.
Staying here made my visit to Siem Reap so much more fun. If you're looking for something different and more adventurous than staying in a boutique hotel where you tourists than local people, I'd highly recommend the Green Home. Everyone was really friendly and went out of their way to make us feel at home. Vuthy has also created a bunch of initiatives to help people in this part of the countryside (like school supply donations and reusable sanitary napkins for women) and it was really wonderful to see that that was happening. 10/10 would return.
Good people, great support to the local economic, and Eco-friendly!
Definitely recommend to our friends .
Best place to try authentic Khmer cooking class
Stayed 4 nights there and it was perfect :-)
Many thanks to the warm and friendly staff for giving us a very enjoyable holiday :)
The scenery of The Green Home make our stay closed to nurture, villages and its people. we booked two nights there but had extended our farm with them to enjoy friendly environment with villages. feed chicken and ducks, crocodiles farm just next to our stay it you make fell the real farm stay. recommend people who to stay with locally and communities owned
Very serene environment amongst the paddyfields and only 5km from city centre.
Best home-stay in Siem Reap! So cozy!
i like this place. their concept to develope their village with bird lover and organic farm is amazing. owner of this house has very fantastic idea to run his ecotourism business. food, tour, accommodation which you can feel very close to local people and closer to nature. when you wake up in the morning and open winder from 2nd floor of house and you see the green rice field, lots of birds enjoy finding their food and sing their song. that the life which many prople cry for.
Good nice staff, clean accomodation, nice garden, good food and cold drinks. Good prices for accomodation. Air condition, only cold water in bathroom.
Good
