The "Same Same, but Better" bar is just that; better than most in so many ways. This small comfortable bar has a wide range of shelved liquors, and can produce a large selection of mixed cocktail, all at a great price. The Same Same also has beer on tap, served in a frosty cold mug. But my favorite part of the Same Same is the people. So Rod and Som Nang are two familiar faces who are always there to serve you a quick drink, and really go out of their way to be welcoming and make you feel comfortable. All of the people I have met at this bar are so accommodating and always there for good entertainment and great conversation. I am happy to call them my friends. The bar is often open till morning and is where many locals congregate after getting off a long nights work. So you can meet many locals who now call Siem Reap home, as well as the lucky tourist who happened to stubble across this hidden gem. So come if you want to escape the madness, the noise and the crowds that is Pub Street, make you way to the Same Same, have a few low priced drinks and make some real friends. At the Same Same you are welcome to feel like a local too. Thank you.
