    Easy visa experience.

Arrived 930 clutching passport, application form (we printed at our hotel), picture, proof of flights in and out of Thailand, bank statement and $40. There's a sign saying take a number, but you just walk to a free counter and hand it all over. You get a slip back with a number on (ours was 90) and told to come back two days later at 1500.
NOTE: there is a sign on the counter saying passports 1-1000 get their visas in 2 working days, 1001-1500 in 3 days, 1501+ in 4 days. It might be worth going early rather than leaving it till 12.
Collection: arrived about 1445. Moment later the man behind the counter tapped his counter and we queued to get our passports back. Took about 2 minutes in queue. Passports handed back and that was it! Visas done.

Gentle people with a lot of patience for those 'but I am special' people who need visa faster than fast.

I arrived early and was done fairly quickly with my application for a (Non-Imm. ED) visa. Everyone had to come back at 3pm to pay the visa fees. Applied Mon. morning and the visa was ready Wed. afternoon. It was quick to pick up my passport as well. Pretty painless. I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because other Thai Embassies (or Consulate Generals) offer next day visa pick-up.
Motorbike parking avail on the sidewalk out front.

The worst embassy experience I've ever encountered! Every year I need to renew my non-o visa as my husband works in Thailand.

At drop off, they took my paperwork at 8:30am but told me to come back at 3pm to pay because the "right" person wasn't there.

At pick-up, it was even worse. I arrived with my slip at 3pm and was rudely told to "wait." So I did I sat for an hour and then went back up to the counter and was told to "wait, the boss is not here" and the rude man wouldn't tell me when he'd arrive back.

So, now it's over an hour and I'm still "waiting" and writing this because I have nothing but time! Embassies are never a fun task, but this is absurd and beyond unprofessional even by 3rd/2nd world standards.

No frill visa service. Fast and efficient.
Morning: submit form with passport, 1 photo and any print of return ticket (e-mail confirmation from airline in my case).
+2 working days in afternoon: pick up
They ask you for return ticket from Thailand even for single entry tourist visa (SETV). In my case that was well beyond visa valid period and no questions asked.
SETV is free of charge until 28/02/2017.

Over an hour and half wait to collect our visas even though we were told to go at 3pm. The man at the counter with no hair is rude and couldn't care less about what you need,he only says ,"no yet,sit down and wait". A man had to reebook his flight due to the delay.
Took us two trips to be able to get some help. There is a lady, however who is lovely and helpful and made sure we got our visa on time for us to leave Cambodia. She was also helpful over the phone in English.Patience.
