Probably the most interesting art gallery I saw in Southeast Asia. The subjects are dark and graphic, which makes sense considering the artists' backgrounds. Great to see art function as a sort of therapy here. Kind of surrounded by nothingness, but not too far of a walk from the city center. Make a trip.

To be sure, a worthwhile visit to those looking to learn what lurks deep within the Cambodian heart. Many of the things they try to hide from the tourists can be found here. It's not a huge gallery, but large enough to get a better idea of what's going on in this society. Lastly, the art is impressive. The entry wasn't horrendous and didn't feel like a rip-off.

Amazing place, well worth the entrance fee. Great showcase of the local artists talent. If you would be interested into buying something, for the quality exposed, prices are also really low! To me, a must visit in Battambang

    Entry : 2.5$ /person - It's a sad business for an art galery ..

Very interesting gallery showcasing the talents of 4 contemporary cambodian artists, with a selection of paintings and sculptures inspired by their common experiences of growing up in Cambodia, exploring themes such as love, family acrimony, loneliness, poverty and corruption

Quite interesting place! If you visit Phare PS School (the circus show), you may meet some of the classmates of these four artists. I spent about 45 minutes here. The staff was friendly and talkative, and the art very very powerful. I personally loved Thang Sothea's work the best for his diverse art style, from raw, energetically-charged sensual paintings to subtle and minimalist ones using symbols and the Khmer script, each piece brought me on a journey. Amazing!

Went walking from the centre and it takes 15min or so. Mark it well on your map as there is no signs!

It's not enormous, but it takes easy an hour and the pieces are full of power and the passion that only people with such a difficult past can convey

The musem has no support other than the buyers and visitors, but it does a lot to help revive art in a country where it was basically assassinated
