What a perfect place to relax. All kinds of activities are offered here, but with this view it's totally acceptable to just lie around.
The staff is great, they employ a lot of locals.

Stayed for 11 days in 3 different bungalow types: family, beachfront and jungle. Beachfront, no 1 and 13 were my favorite. I think some of the more negative reviews are a result, that they didn’t read the description properly in advance. If you read the hotel description and are ok with the level of comfort at palm beach you will not be disappointed!

WHAT YOU WON‘T HAVE: WiFi in rooms, warm water, ac, minibar.
WHAT YOU WILL HAVE: great hospitality and a relaxed and peaceful stay, long stretched beaches, a paradise in front of your doorstep, diving, kayaking, great seafood, decent cocktails, friendly staff, a great time AND amazing Instagram photos;-)

    ROOMS:
If you want to to have a direct sea view, try to get „BEACHFRONT BUNGALOW“ No. 1 or 13 or ANY of the „DELUXE JUNGLE BUNGALOWS“. Note: there is also the category: „Jungle Bungalow“ (without DELUXE) they are built the same as the deluxe ones, still with ocean view but also a view at a „dead“ swimmingpool. (Owner took it over like that, huge thing, impossible to maintain) This isn’t the end of the world because right across the pool is still the ocean, you just need to focus your eyes a little more up, et voila: problem solved;-)
The JUNGLE Bungalows are a bit more solid and not as open as the others.

The bungalows which are named „AT THE BEACH“ (family + standard) don’t have seaview and are from my point of view a little less comfy though very similar to the beachfront bungalows. The „6 BEDS HOUSES“ have direct seaview.

Book a snorkeling or diving trip with Craig, he is my favorite (don’t tell the others;-) the resort is a little isolated so you will have a very cozy and almost family like atmosphere BUT nothing to do outside the resort in the evening. I stayed for 11 nights and did not get bored!!! But you should know it...there won’t be a fullmoon Party close by. ;-) but you still can get wasted at the bar;-) Also, it’s an island with a 2 Hour Ferry Drive from main land, so stock up on items you might need. At the hotel and the hotel pier you will get basics like cigarettes, toiletries and snacks.

Hotel has a ferry which runs at 9:30 am from resort to Sihanoukville and at approx. 13:00 from Sihanoukville (ROYAL PIER) directly to the resort. NOTE: “Royal Pier” next to the container pier and it is in the north of Sihanoukville, you will get an email after booking with location and information about the ferry. You don’t have to book a ferry just use the one of the hotel, it costs almost the same as any other one and is operated by the hotel! So it is a smooth ride to where you want to go;-) The ferries from the main pier will NOT bring you close to palm beach.

Palm beach is a 100% recommendation. Go, relax and be kind.

Palm beach is a great place to stay for a while.

It’s an amazing, beautiful location. They created a piece of tranquil paradise. If you are not the kind of person that lies on the beach the whole day, don’t worry! There are plenty activities you can do for almost no cost. But lying on the beach for a whole day is also entirely possible!

The owners and people who work there are friendly and will do their best that you come nothing short (within reason). They are involved with the locals, training and employing them in a sensible manner. We really liked the variety of the people working there and the great talks with had with each of them
They also didn’t mind me plundering their first aid kit, so i could take care of my girlfriend. Instead, they kept it refilled and up to date.

The bungalows might be basic, but they are clean and private. There was a wide selection of food with good portions and many tasty drinks! Our favourite was the Barracuda steak!

Keep in mind that this is a remote location, so try to inform yourself. If you read the information on their website and the email they send you, you wont get any big surprises. They manage to keep a great, balanced resort so I think anybody can find what they are looking for (except a rave party). This isn’t a cheap backpackers haven, but we (a greedy, backpacking couple) felt that we got more than our money’s worth.

Shout out to Raymond and Craig! The plankton kings! We spend some time with each of them and they are funny, knowledgeable persons who gave us unforgettable memories. We are very grateful to have met you!

One of the worst place I have ever been in term of service and quality. It seems like you bother people working there when you ask for something. The bungalow is durty, I dont even talk about the bathroom...I had a really bad experience even if the view and the food are nice. Moreover, 50bucks for the room..come on seriously ?! I don’t recommand you to go to this place.

Palm beach is in a fantastic spot. The beaches are very nice and the water pristine!

This place is a fantastic spot for a couples retreat or a getaway to relax for a while.

however! If you're looking for any sort of adventure, action, or a party you're best off on another beach. You're practically stranded for the duration of your stay here. Initially it is paradise but once you've spent a day here you realise it has little to offer other than pretty scenery and hammocks to view it from.

You're completely reliant on the restaurant for all your meals and water which runs on island time so get used to waiting around a lot wondering if they're coming or not. The Cambodian saff are very friendly and helpful but the expats were lazy and seemed "too busy" to bother with you.

They offer some rusted mountain bikes for $7.5 for half a day rent, kayak hire for free but be quick to grab them in the morning. They also offer to take you out for a snorkal which is a great time depending of the weather but also not so if you have ever been snorkeling on the great barrier reef or Hawaii. After snorkeling you go fishing which is a time filler for untill it's dark enough for the real show! The bio-luminescent plankton swim! That is BREATHTAKING! And well worth visiting if no other places offer it.

Apart from that honestly I feel like it is a lazy attempt to run a resort with a "that will do" attitude. Most people are thrilled with the place but myself felt it was haphazard. Luckily for them the island speaks for itself.

Nice resort with very welcoming owner and staff. Raymond and Craig rock the bar while Mirelle is taking care the resort. We had a great time and even extended our stay. Highly recommended is the jungle deluxe bungalow, amazing sunrise to see while cuddling in bed. We surely come back.

I booked there, but couldn't stay there since they give the very wrong direction that changed most of my traveling plan. Please advise your future guests where you are exactly so that they won't be like my friends and me.

Excellent value for money - very beautiful part of the island and although accommodation is basic it's OK. Palm trees everywhere and nice and quiet resort. Only downside is it's a little out of the way but great holiday experience nonetheless

Fantastic unspoilt place. Great to unwind, and the restaurant range is awesome. Just don't expect Aircon, a flash pool or much to do other than chill. The fishing/snorkelling/plankton trip is recommended.

i like this place, quiet, nice staff, beach not more beautiful than others place in Kohrong Island but still nice and clearn, cheap sea food.
I don't like the time when they take you from Sihanouvilla from 1pm, it means 3 or 4 PM you plan, then you must leave at 9 AM tomorrow because they just have 1 time boat leave/a day.

We stayed three nights and we loved it. Very nice crew and the best place to relax. If we had more time we would've stayed longer :D
