You can travel buy plane which will take you half the time but cost you 3 times as much or you can take the road and do it on the Mekong express bus. One of the better bus companies in Cambodia and the cost to get from siem reap to Phnom Penh was $12!! Yes it took 6 HR but it's worth it to see the country side. Easy to book a seat and it's air-conditioned and enough stops along the way for a toilet break and to stretch your legs.

I took the bus to Phnom Penh and the bus was a bit older but in excellent shape and the staff and service was great. The bus left on time and we got water and small snacks provided. The bus left from this office, but I booked online and the website said to go to the traffic circle. Perhaps either would work since there were already people on the bus. The only complaint that I had was that I stopped by the office the night before to set up pick up from my hotel. They arranged it and said it was all set but the next morning no one showed up. I had to call and was told sorry no pick up this morning but I could get reimbursed for a tuk tuk. Luckily I called in time and it was a short walk. But it could have gone poorly. So don't trust their pick up service but it's a good bus company other than that.

We were really dissapointed with Mekong Express Siem Reap. I do not recommend travellers to use this bus. We have booked at 8 PM from Siep-Reap-Pnom Penh, but they booked us 8 AM bus. The counter person and I have made sure that we have booked night bus, not morning bus.

The bus was comfortable and clean. We were offered water on arrival. We were not given a snack although it was advertised we would be. There was no wifi on the bus even though we were told there would be and there was even a wifi password in the bus giving the impression that there was meant to be wifi. We were told the journey would take 2 hours when actually it took 4 so we had told a hostel a time of arrival 2 hours earlier than we showed up. They had almost cancelled our booking as we had not contacted them ( we couldnt as there was no wifi on the bus). The bus left on time and the check in process was thorough. They tied a baggage label to the bags and made sure the label they gave you checked ir when you departed.

After seeing some other reviews including those on TripAdvisor I was a bit hesitant. However I took the Phnom Penh to Siem reap bus and absolutely loved it ! The driver was professional, as was the bell boy who was very diligent in explaining rest stops etc. At our major rest stop where we stopped for 30mins, it was clear the staff wanted to keep us informed, and ensured everyone was back on the bus before we left. They treated a mother with a small child very well. The bus was also very comfortable, I definitely felt safe, and I loved the view. I recommend taking the 2.25pm bus as there is an awesome view over the vast fields in afternoon sunset to reach Siem Reap.

It's only one door shop front office unlike the main on high way. It is for passengers around night market area to board the bus. Very very small sign in English. Larger sign in Khmer language. Very easy to miss or hard to spot. Google map Location is correct. It looks more like a travel agent everywhere in Siem Reap streets. Its next door is DHL. Look for DHL for this office. You would never miss DHL sign. It is at DHI left.

They promise a good mini bus with assigned seats but put you in a old run down bus with bad safety. WiFi did not work. Ac leaked. Speed meter bus nor working. Handles broken off.

I used this line from Siem reap to Phnom penh with 12usd per person.

Their pick up service was good at the hotel without extra charge in time.

It tooks about less than 5.5 hours included break time for 20min.

Totally value of price was good enough.
But somtimes buses are change from big one to mini van depends on a number of passengers.

They gave me a poor description of the pick up point, I was 20 minutes early but couldnt find it even after asking a dozen people. So, be very clear on where the pick up is.

They surprisingly gave me a free ticket on the next bus, so, 5 stars for that.

Excellence services. In my trip from Siem Riep to Phnom Penh, they serve water, snack and movies. Rest room is available all time in the trip. I will choose their services when I go to Cambodia in the future

Has been in business for long time. Good customer service. Bus is a bit old but still good and better than many other company bus. Free pick up within city. Free snack, water and Wi-Fi on bus.
