Simple but very nice guesthouses. If you aren't top posh and Wang to get a cheap and solid accomodation close to Beach Otres 2 - this might be a fit for you

We stayed on a Wednesday night when they apparently have a loud jungle party every week across the river that does not stop all night and through the morning. Loud music and bass until 10am, hard to sleep. As well there is lots of construction going on around. Room was clean and tidy but the rest of the hotel seemed run down. Staff did not give us any information when we checked in. Breakfast not included. Probably would not stay again.

This is a bit of a rundown place in the midst of a construction site. However the location is great and otres beach 2 is definitely worth a visit. It's nothing like serendipity beach but a calm and nice beach with a lot of cozy beach bars. We didn't even run into that many western tourists while being there! Like I said the hotel has a good location , quite nice rooms and friendly staff I would however recommend people to rent a bungalow on the beach.

We have been in a fan room for 5 nights and we got what we paid for. Clean room, daily housekeeping, kind staff. Their food is very good and cheap. We also rented a motorcycle for 5 USD / 24 hours which was a bargain. The otres 2 Beach is nice and you easily find a space where you have some privacy

It is a cheap Guesthouse.yes, the roomkeeping could be better. and yes it is not everything brandnew, but what do people expect for that price? You get a fairly clean room with fridge, watercooker, tc, fan and with a pool. I think that is quite reasonable for that money.
The outside sitting area is not overly much comfortable, some other chairs would be nice. Staff is polite and helpful, nothing to complain there.

Don't stay here.
Otres Beach is nice & peaceful with many bar & restaurants. Find other places to stay.
This Bungalow is rundown, dirty & tacky. There's construction site nearby that will be noisy from 7am. The bungalow staff are rude & loud. They will start listening to rap music, having conversations or watering the plants as early as 6am!!!
No need to mention about the room.

Dirty little hotel by the Beach. Construction site front and side with new hotels going up. Run down ( shower does drain, really dated rooms, patio door doesn't lock, no in room safe, no restaurant)

Friendly staff, but we had fungal in our room, which caused a nasty smell. Also fungal stains on our cushions. Probably only our room, which was an airco doublebed room.

This is a great value for what you get. It is very close to the beach, sits on the river in the back, and has a nice staff and newer facilities. THe pool is small.

Noise and stench.
The room stinks, bathroom full of mildew. In front and nextdoor are construction yards, to go to the beach you have to take a flooded dirt road and then pass through a house.

The stilt terrace over the stinky river is worn out, careful for splinters.

Food portions are very small and plain but very expensive.
The receptionist was rude.

It is a very quiet place and everyone can take full relax here and can go to see sunset on Otres Beach with just 3 minutes walk.

Location is right around the corner from the beach, staff are friendly and helpful, and the rooms are nice-ish for the price. Biggest downside was that there was mold/mildew on the ceiling of the bathroom due to what looked like a leak and it made the whole place smell horrible.

The staff is very friendly and welcoming. We were invited to join for lunch which was a great experience! The beach is a 1 minute walk and the pool looks great!
