The East side of the city of Angkor Thom has actually two gates: Victory Gate and Gate of the Death. The Death Gate is quite a special gate. You can only access it via a dirt road, not a paved road. And because of this lesser visitors go here. In my opinion therefor worth a visit. On the other hand: the architecture of the gate is very similar, if not identical, to that of the other gates of the city of Angkor Wat.

In der Mitte vom Wald und sehr beeindruckend. Wir waren mit dem Fahrrad unterwegs und hat sich definitiv gelohnt dort vorbeizufahren :)

One of the five gate into Angkor Thom compound and is the least visited gate but is nice and tranquilt. Also good for photo.

Hidden away down a dirt road, not many people visit this one. Most go to the more popular Victory Gate. Here you can explore a little more and go inside the gate.
