This homely restaurant serves up pretty good local favorites like fish amok and other delicious dishes that I don't know how to pronounce. Prices are slightly higher, but still reasonable for the quality. It gets rather stuffy on humid days, so would be great if the ventilation could somehow be improved.

My wife and I joined the Frizz Cambodian Cooking Class and it was phenomenal. The all day tour started with Kear (the owner and chef) taking us through a local cambodian market explaining all of the seasonal fresh ingredients as well as his personal story of poverty and survival growing up around markets like these. We then went back to the upper story of his restaurant where he showed us step by step how to make 4 cambodian dishes. The menu changes seasonally, and the food tasted incredible. An experience not to miss if you have a spare day in Phnom Penh.

I don't like giving bad reviews, but the food was really below average. The fresh spring rolls were tasteless and the fish amok extremely dry (how can a curry-style dish be dry is beyond my understanding). The sticky rice with mango was very average too.
I hope I was just unlucky. I wouldn't go back though, with so many other places aroundresponse / report this review -

Loved our meal here. Great amok and curries. Nice small wine list and very reasonable prices. The staff is spot on and the decor is simple and nice.

The food at Frizz was great & cheap, good variety of local & western foods, friendly staff & most importantly to us foreign tourists, safe to eat, no nasty belly bugs! Would happily recommend it to anyone.

Very nice place. Very tasty cambodian food and it looks so exotic! Not expensive, just 30$ for 4 persons (without alcohol).

Cambodian food with varied choices with reasonable price. I ordered veg curry which have potato, tofu and eggplants. It's very yummy, a little bit sweet with a pepper flavor. Add one more fruit lassi will make your day!

The food was good but the service made the hole experience not worthy. Our waitress was in a very bad mood although there was no stress as we were the only guests. We were thinking of also doing the cooking class, but the presence of the waitress made us change our mind to not book a cooking class.

Amok=Yuck seems like a Cambo fav that only Cambos will getnasty; someone always guilts me into trying a bite..yuck! Plus the fish is probably from that filthy sewer river. FYI raw sewage in the Mekong for years!

Went here on a guidebook recommendation for lunch. Service was gruff but food was otherwise good. We had the fish amok which was very good and different from others we have had. The mango lassi was also good. Would go back for dinner or if looking for established restaurant (versus street food) but could also be just as happy some place else.
