Great staff & clean bungalows, it's just not situated at the best part of the island
Absolutely amazing place. The staff at freedom resort were so friendly and polite. We are definitely going to come back next year!
On the far side of the beach. Quite secluded. Very close to Rumi pier where speed ferry stops.
Super friendly, helpful and humourous staff, room is super clean and furnished, AC included. Love the balcony seats.
Only one downside is the beach is a bit dirty, need to walk about 200m to get to the nice beach.
All in all, Nice experience.
Decent Not spectacular, but not horrible. Staff is very helpful, food is pretty good. Air Con and WiFi only worked about half the time, but it is a remote island. Power was scheduled off for a bit during the day. Stream-few pool is nice, but not the safest for kids (ours still had fun under close supervision). Beach is small and not as pretty, but calm and relaxing. We used it quite a bit. The whole place is quite, not the bar scene type of place, but you can find that in about a 20 minute walk.
I was not expecting the Hilton and not expecting a tent, and got what we were looking for. Safe, easy and friendly.
Tip- it is hard to reach the resort, so we took the fast boat from Serendipity Pier to "Rumi" Pier on the island. $21 boat ride round trip.
The place is simple and cute. The staff are really friendly. Phoan(?) Is probably the best hospitality staff I have met in my life.
Cheerful staff upon arrival and all throughout. Check in took a little bit longer than expected. As for the room, simple, a/C is extra $$, and there wasn't any hot water.
Cosy bungalows next to the sea. Fresh water on arrival. They also have a sweetwater "pool" with water from the top of the hill. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean. Missing: No hot water and WiFi is weak (better use mobile coverage because the antenna is up the hill next to the resort). Bathroom is equipped with everything from toothbrush to conditioner and cotton buds.
No disturbing geckos around so you'll sleep comfortably in the huge bed.
The restaurant has room for improvement (had soup with chicken and every piece has had bones in it). Better go eat 10-15 minutes down the beach.
Advantage/disadvantage: It's located at the end of Saracen Bay and usually the ferries stop on the other side (which is a walk of 45-60 minutes along the beach). We had strong winds and high waves and all ferries stopped at the pier in front of the resort because it's a bit protected from the waves (use Island Speed Ferry Cambodia, the catamaran. It's a smooth ride and the staff is nice and helpful).
Friendly and awesome place. Good location, caring staff.
DIRTY, so dirty, all around and inside the room, all broken, smelly, dirty, far from everything, bad breakfast (tea without cup, sugar, spoon, bad food), not managed, not maintened, awful. 56$ per night! worth not more than 20$, even other dormitories nearby at 14$ per night are cleaner!
Nice people. Friendly and helpful.
The hotel has beautiful interiors and views
Situated on Koh Rong Samloem Island off the coast of Sihanoukville, Freedom Island Bungalow features a natural freshwater pool, a restaurant and bungalows with a balcony located right on the beach.
No wifi. Power only at 6pm
Bungalow and location are nice yet the place seems a bit rundown
It's a very beautiful island
2.5 stars
I'd say they are pretty good bungalows but when we got there the bed sheets had about 5 lizard poop on them, when we asked the staff to change the sheet they told us to wait. We waited for almost hour (thought because they're too laid back it took that long) but no one came back.
We went back to ask again, only for them to send a girl with a broom. we wanted our sheets to be replaced, so it took more over than an hour to have our bed sheets replaced. Other than that, the veranda's pretty cozy and has a beautiful view of the bay.
