If you like Asian ( chinese like ) fresh noodles, either boiled, steamed or fried ; go there ! Set in a simple and rustic environment, it feels like an afterschool hangout ! And as a bonus, the riverview is just across the street ! In French, they say 'convivial' .
Friendly staff and really good dumplings served with a salty dipping sauce. Noodles are nice and fresh too and we ate here a few times. Definitely worth a visit.
Loved this place. The dumplings - both fried and boiled varieties - were excellent, the duck with noodles was also very tasty. Interesting to see them being made as you walk in. Chilled place and the staff were friendly and very efficient. The perfect choice for a quick and great value meal. $2.50 for 12 dumplings - yes!!
Delicious noods & dumps. Everything costs $2.5, bargain deal
I would give them 6/5 stars if possible. FYI steamed dumplings were superior to the fried. We got 1/2 and 1/2 though so everyone was happy! Also get the duck!
Peaceful little spot along the river. Ambience was great—as was the view. I had the boiled pork dumplings. Large portion (12 for $2.50). They were filling and moderately tasty. However, they were more doughy than I prefer.
Have had better dumplings the wrapper was nice and light but the filling had absolutely no flavor. We had a split plate of half pork, half veggie along half boiled and fried. I ordered the duck meat plate at first it was forgotten which they very apologetic about. When I asked again I ended up with a stir fry of duck and kale. The dumplings are cheap but I wouldn't go back.
Hand pulled noodles! It was definitely fun to watch as I've never seen noodles made from scratch before. The dumplings were nice but the noodle soup was a bit salty for my liking.
I can only assume the other reviewers have never had a real noodle soup or good dumplings. It's a small town after all here. Yes, it's freshly home made! No, it's utterly tasteless and flavorless - both the soup and the dumplings. The beef in the noodle soup was tough and chewy and simply inedible.
Plesently surprised. Humble looking noodle shop facing the river. Food portions were value for money. Taste was delicious-quality noodles, dumpling flour was smooth, not starchy or thick. Peking duck with fried noodle was yummy- enjoyed noodle as it was moist with lots of veg and tasty duck. All this coming from Asians used to eating lots of noodles :)
Best dumpling ever and amazing fresh noodle soup. For $2 you are full and its healthy. I love going there when I am hangover. You can also take away. And the guy making the noodles with the traditional method in front of you which is a nice show to watch. Recommended 100 percent.
Best noodles I've eaten for a long time. Each portion is handmade in front of you after ordering. Only a small menu, but the choices are enough. Big portions!! The dumplings are amazing (also handmade).
The flavours are incredible. A definite must try when in Kampot!!
Freshly made noodles and dumplings however soup wasn't that good, it lacked flavour. Vegetable stir fry noodles were tasty tough. Price is reasonable. One last thing to remark is that you can't hand over the menu and stand still staring at the table ready to take the order without giving customers a couple of minutes to have a look at it and decide. It could make some people uncomfortable. It leaves you with two nasty options: Risking it ordering the first thing you read on the menu or saying "we are not ready to order yet, thank you" for what all you will get in response will be a rude turn around and waiter disappearing for the next 20 minutes in revenge
Amazing place. Noodles are made fresh to order at the front of the restaurant and you can see it being stretched before going into your soup. Delicious. The vegetarian boiled dumplings are absolutely delicious also. Many places don't get this right. Everything fresh!
Stopped by here at lunch time and had the fried pork dumplings. I did ask for a mix of steamed and boiled but that was greeted with a firm NO (point lost). Dumplings were very nice but it is really only a snack. Not enough to fill you. The dipping sauce was nice with just the right amount of salt. Needed a toothpick after and noticed that the toothpick container had 2 small bugs in it. Told the waitress who very kindly releases the bugs but then just put the top back on the toothpicks (another point lost). Located across from the river and a good spot for the sunset. In all, not bad but needs a little better customer service.
