The staff is friendly and the place is simple but nice. But the food is not so excellent, so I can't really understand all the 5-star reviews. The starters were ok (fish paté and vegetable soup), but not more. The mains were disappointing. The french dip sandwich was boring in terms of seasoning, and the baguette would have been much much better if rebaked or toasted. The pork belly was utterly dry and again with lack of taste. We told the waitress that and guess she forwarded the remarks to the chef. But there was no apology, no offering of a free coffe or any kind of "we are sorry". I'm sure there is better eating in Kampot.

Food really good! We ordered octopus, gnocchi, and tasted special duck. So. Duck was amazing! We took two more for take away after big dinner.

Read a little bit about this place online as well as a YouTube video made recently on Twenty Three.
Gave it a shot on our last night here and was impressed with the menu. I ordered a vegetable main and it was delicious. The bar options are great too which lots of alcoholic and non alcoholic choices to choose from.
We left feeling satisfied and if you were to stay in Kampot don't hesitate giving this place a go.response / report this review -

Been here many times, and have never been disappointed. Friendly staff and great food. Look out for their specials. The Lamb shank was epicly awesome. Will definitely return next trip

Had to triple check my bearings Read reviews, felt we should try. Arrived to lackluster looking place, street seating or dark recessed indoor. Group was chain smoking at entrance, which was being blown inside, Strike Two. Nice enough gal handed us an short menu, with nothing resembling what the TA reviews implied. Strike Three. Sorry, everytime I fight my instincts, I regret it. We wandered without eating.

Certainly o e of the top 3 places for high quality, innovative food (don't expect burgers & Co on the menu). Prepared by real chefs And for a very reasonable price. The Cheddar Soufflé was devine!?

Got an iced coffee with milk earlier in the day then a beer later at night. Very nice atmosphere with friendly staff. Coffee was tasty, would love to try the food.
