Want to have a fine afternoon driving in a natural park and enjoy some great views? Go to the Bokor Hill Station in Kampot, Cambodia.

The drive up the mountain is very relaxing, no traffic at all, and on the top of the mountain you can have a look at the old casino hotel - currently under cunstruction.

Really nice place with a rich history. they are still building it but it's amazing to drive through and take some awesome photos. there is a big casino just in front of boker Hill station and there is an old casino which they are rebuilding at this moment. Which you can't enter. There is no gas station up there and people sell very low quality fuel so fuel up before you go up.

What used to be a ghostly ruin is now an almost finished, quite modern-looking hotel. There is really nothing to see here - and hasn't been for months now! I'd avoid the tours offered in Kampot to Bokor Hill Station that have this as the main sight. It might have been interesting a few years ago, but is a complete waste of time and money now! Instead, rent a motorcycle and tour the beautiful countryside, stop by at some (minor) sights along the way

Rent a motorbike and enjoy the amazing road to get in Bokor Hill Station. Once on the top, you will get to see some more or less impressive ghost buildings from another time (even if not so long ago). Bring snacks with you, you don't get much choice up there. And don't forget to get a full tank before driving up.

So if you are renting and driving a bike then it is okay to ride up till there because the roads on the mountain are amazing but once you reach the hill station there is nothing. By saying nothing I mean nothing to see and do. You get some views but they are okay. I mean if you are travelling in SEA then you can totally skip it. !! :)

Definitely worth the trip up. Grab a scooter in Kampot and enjoy the 30-45 min ride to the top (roads are totally fine).

Fill up the tank before you leave, 1 tank will take you there and back.
Take double or triple pullovers, its much cooler up there.

Expect great views of the whole bay area and some ruin buildings (church, hotel)

There is also an uninteresting monastery which can be skipped

Heaps to see here! It's an amazing ride from Kampot, one of the best roads in Cambodia. We spent all day riding around visiting the waterfall, casino, old colonial buildings etc. Definitely worth the visit.

Pretty cool. Can't go in though because they're renovating. Still cool to walk around the outside. Place to grab a coconut for $1 across the road.

Great views of the coast on a clear day. However, it is WAY better when it's foggy from the clouds. Majorly creepy! You don't get the view but the area and building itself becomes completely eerie. So don't wait for a clear day!

It's very eerie up here, we came at around midday and it was rather foggy up here. Everything is derelict up here and a shell of it's former glory. It's a great place to come and visit as it's quite unique. The old art Deco casino is something else. A large concrete building. Feels like something out of silent hill in the fog. I can only imagine how spooky it would look in the night.

Best seen on a rented moped as the hill station is several spaced out places build by the French but now abandoned, plus one Buddhist temple at the top and one on the way up.

Due to the low traffic this is one of the easier places to ride a moped with mostly all the turns given accurate warning signs of their bend gradients, BUT BE WARNED one or two very sharp bends do not have signs so don't rely on the signs alone.

The main attraction are the views over the mountain rather than the buildings, which are largely abandoned 1920s french. Unless you're seriously interested in architecture your response will be "meh, kinda cool".

Stunning and somewhat eerie place with really interesting history! Make sure you check out the cliff views! Note - without fail, almost every afternoon the place becomes surrounded in fog / cloud so if you want crisp photos, head up early!

Stunning Drive up the hill and spooky old houses up there -

Most has been said, so I just mention the new or extra important information.

The entry fee (parking fee) for a scooter is 2000 Riel / 0,5 Cent. The road up the hill is just stunning. I highly recommend to do it on your own by scooter (if you have been driving scooter before).
The new casino is a shame, but therefore you have that perfect road.
There is just one point, on the other side of the old casino, where you can buy new petrol for scooters and its 50% above average price.
From kampot it takes you at least an hour to get to the old casino, have that in mind especially for the way back, when it's getting dark.
Last but not least, the old casino can just be viewed from outside the building, because it's closed for renovation.

Incredible 1920s building that is free to explore on your own. Very creepy but completely unique experience and worth the drive up especially adding in the church, casino and waterfall!

This whole area is super creepy and cool. Easy scooter ride up the mountain on the newly-paved road. Gets cold at the top so bring a layer. Spend a couple hours here!

great road all the way perfect for a moto rental day trip amazing view cost 2 dollars bring drinks hot up there . Tip park your moto around back in the shade to avoid hot seat

Such a cool location and beautiful ride up the mountain. The road is in really good condition and is not steep, so it's an easy ride! We left the top just before sunset and the ride down was incredible.

Very interesting visit, and very well conserved. You can visit it without paying anything. Great views from the roof.
