Had dinner here: very good food, recommended! Tasty cold cuts, crunchy hot bread to start; flavorful Kampot Pepper Chicken perfectly cooked with fresh salad. The great taste and quality more than justify the slightly higher price for me!

6 beds and two double rooms. Nice small hostel with balcony on the river where you can see amazing sunsets. Very good food. Only thing was that the toilet/ shower lock was broken and was not fixed in the time I've been there.

Pepe's is warm and Charming partly to do with their lovely owners. The French cheese plates are fabulous. Try the Pate as well. I loved the homemade ginger lemonade drink. Also they had a wonderful carrot orange ginger drink that makes you feel energetic.
I'll probably even go back to stay in the dorm because the sun sets from the balcony or probably the best views in Kampot. The dorms are exceptionally clean with new mattresses and pillows. Which was a bit dark but then you can go out into the balcony to have sunshine. The only bad thing is that there's one bathroom for all of the people on the floor to share. So you share with 6 people in the dorm and the people and the two private rooms. Unfortunately the water goes out for short amounts of time sometime. Also, sometime the wifi goes out. But the owners are working on ironing out all of the glitches and I'm sure they will. They're good people. The dorms have lockers and you only pay $2 and it's refundable. If you do want a towel you have to pay $2 non-refundable for that since of course they have to launder the towel. But the prices are so low that any negative is outweighed by so much positive.response / report this review -

Delicious food. A bit more expensive than most other places in Kampot but worst it. Nice quantities, good wine. They have vegetarian and vegan options too, which I really appreciated. The burgers are great, with beef or veggie patty and roasted potatoes as good as your grand-ma's!

Good food, nice atmosphere. Wasn't too impressed with the desert, but it was nice to have some chicken with veggies. Sauce was good.

Good clean fresh food. We had the meatballs and the vegetarian balls. Place was full of young French women. The salads were popular.

I stayed at the dorm--$4 a night and 11am checkout time. The blanket provided is um hard to even call it a blanket. But the terrace outside has an amazing view of the riverfront, and it has nice chairs and tables to lounge at. There are fans provided for every bed. The shower is alright--you have to share it with all the people on the same floor, so sometimes you have to wait a while. Despite the cheap price to stay, you have to pay extra for towels and the small storage locks. The food at the restaurant is great. Try their burgers. Big space inside. Don't get fooled by the small entrance. The extra charges for small things and the blanket makes it 4 stars instead of 5.

Good food, but too much smokers. They even sale cigarettes by the piece & smoke ruins food taste. Poor manners by many customers. Second hand smoke is deadly.

Nice place for lunch, been twice. Service is good as is the food. Reasonable price and portions are good. Have had Odin's(meat) balls, pesto pasta, pesto chicken sandwich and Thor's(veggie) balls. Food had good flavor but did find the veggie balls more like patties and they were greasier then expected. Also didn't enjoy the ginger lime juice it didn't have much flavour.

A nice little place with a shaded, front garden area opposite the riverfront. The food offered here is quite different fare and the restaurant has managed to create a unique menu based around hearty Scandinavian favourite ingredients. The meats I've had there are cooked extremely well and the menu abounds with dishes utilising a variety of cheese's. The drinks menu is quite full and the service fast and reliable. With dishes such as Odin's Balls on offer, any soul that enjoys breads, cheese's, meat, potatoes and lovely sauces will love this place too. Prices are very reasonable and you may consider purchasing two of their smaller to mid-price ranged meals for good value fullness.

we just had dinner here. i had a veggie burger with fried potatoes. ive eaten many veggie burgers over the years, you never know what the 'veggie' part is gonna be. this one was new for me, a tasty patty mix of carrot, zuccini, lentil with herbs. the bread bun was hand made, and, with a slice of cheddar, was very good. my wife had fried carrot zuccini balls and fried potatoes.
overall we were very happy with the food, service staff was a bit moody but nothing bad.response / report this review
