ABOUTAsia lived up to their billing and then some. They are a bit pricier than most tours, but the good works they do to support local schools with the profits from these tours is worth every penny. Our tour guide, Mr. Kim, was excellent, he was able to craft a custom tour of Angkor Wat (with just the two days we had in Cambodia) into an experience that felt as if we were the only ones visiting this massive complex. Because of his excellent knowledge, he directed us to areas of Ankgor Wat such that, at times, we were the ONLY ONES at a specific site - we saw highlights but WITHOUT the crowds. An example is the Sunrise tour - there must have been thousands of people in attendance trying to capture the sunrise of the famous Angkor Wat complex. After the sun rose, we were wondering how we can possibly avoid this horde of people. Mr. Kim directed us to an alternative entrance away from the crowd. As we explored in relative isolation, the red glow of the sun peeked above the treeline giving us a beautiful unforgettable picture. We highly recommend AboutAsia for a customized tour.
