Interesting place to visit. Would be great if they had a guide. Also if you have claustrophobia, don't try to climb the tower.

Always carry your water/ edibles with you. And beware of the person with tickets, she always wants to sell the things ( traditional) those are china made. Nothing to see in museum and photos are not allowed. LoL

Nice UNESCO site, but there is only one tower, small museum and few ancient grave markers. Nice mountains in the background. Worth to visit. Fee 2$

Nice place, but not much to see apart from the tower and few object's in the museum. The headstone in the field nearby are very interesting.

Probably the most historical place in Kyrgyzstan. But it won't amaze you if you've been to Uzbekistan.

It's not the easiest place to get to but it's worth the effort. The tower is from the 11th century and a great example of the cultures that lived here a thousands years ago. Most of the rest of the city has either disappeared or is still buried underground. The museum is basic.

One of the place that shows you what type of building Kyrgyz people had in 10-11 century. Very beautiful and deserve to be visited. In near museum people will explain you in English, French or even Spanish Kyrgyz history

Burana Tower is a large minaret dated of IX AD. The tower, along with grave markers (bal-bals), some earthworks and the remnants of a castle and three mausoleums, is all that remains of the ancient city of Balasagyn, which was established by the Karakhanids at the end of the IX century. Current height of tower is 25 m which is about half less of its original height of 45 m. An external staircase and steep, winding stairway inside the tower enables visitors to climb to the top.
