Park named after Kemal Ataturk (1881-1938 - Ottoman and the Turkish reformer, the first Turkish President). St. Akhunbaev. Was laid in 1957-1958 as Arboretum Botanical garden Academy of Sciences. in 1962 Arboretum was transferred to the management executive committee and in 1967 renamed in the Park culture and Recreation "friendship". in 1972 - Park behalf of 50 years of the USSR. Since 1996 Park named after Kemal Ataturk. Park is area 74 hectares. part of the Park is made with two circle centers. from circular alleys depart diagonal alley that share the site on the right triangles. in the Park grow 40 species trees (including 5 coniferous) and 35 species of shrubs. on the number of coniferous make up 35%, and deciduous - 65%. among them: Birch, Linden, Biota East, Scots Pine, Poplar болле and others. in the Park in 1996 in the Park is set Memorial soldiers-Afghans. opened Christmas alley, which includes the alley of 58 fountains and one round Fountain in diameter 10m. there are various attractions.

Easily the best park in Bishkek. Many, very long paths that are well kept for the most part. A great assortment of trees, playgrounds, benches and a small amusement park. Great for walking, biking, finding shade, or enjoying some peace and quiet in the midst of the city.

Clean and silent place not the same like other parks after a few meters you didn't hear the traffic and you can relax the many trees are spending enough shadow that you can also enjoy your stay in hot days

Nice place to get relaxed and to feel nature. One of historical places of Bishkek. Not crowded in the morning and good for runnung.

This place was right next to my house! The park has a nice little amusement area, with a ferris wheel. Also, if you're into geocaching- there are some good finds there.
