This is a very busy airport for smaller planes. It handles about an aeroplane every 5 minutes from 9am till 9pm. There are some pilots training colleges in the vicinity as well other aviation related corporate offices. Security checks are enhanced with road block mounted at the entrance and manned by Kenya Police. Parking is not free and some parking attendants will always approach one when parking for a fee. There are some eating spots in the area but nothing fancy. For a good meal, one has to go to T-Mall which is about 500m away or Weston Hotel which is also about the same distance if not nearer. The passenger lobby is not fancy and is just an operational area.

Hmmm what can I say, a very busy general aviation airport, that is very unorganized. Customs/immigration personal unfriendly. Luckily met up with a local on the airport that showed us around where everything was. Maybe as a passenger it would be a better experience.

Wilson Airport is not only found within the Nairobi environments but has adequate feeder roads and is easy to find. It has an offering no other Air Strip in East Africa has. Sufficient to all types of travellers.

Wonderful airport filled with all kinds of general aviation aicrafts that allow ease of movement domestically with high stiff competitive prices from the companies available home to many major flying schools such as the Kenya School of Flying

Wilson is an exceptionally busy airport. This can lead to it feeling quite unsafe at times as many planes and helicopters are operating in very close proximity to each other.

Wilson airport takes both international flights and almost all general aviation flights in Kenyas busiest city. Estimated 3 planes land and takeoff every minute. The taxi ways however need a lot of work. The airport needs a new passenger terminal!

Wilson airport is definitely busy because of the number of small aircrafts that operate from this airport. Disappointed with the poor planning by KAA. No proper parking for visitors. Be ready to pay for parking just to enter the premises and drive around looking for a place to park. Taxis are all over the place. The arrivals terminal needs a makeover!

The quite waiting lounge at airkenya is amazing! Without any doubt it is the best choice of them all.
I did not like the fact that flysax delays flights and the staff has no courtesy to notify travellers.response / report this review
