A park in middle of the city. As a resident I have gotten used to it. But nonetheless it's a nice place for a stroll.

However you do need to keep a watch on your surroundings as unsavoury characters can target you.

Word of caution avoid crossing it at night time hours.

Nice public park. Not much tree cover so be ready to face the elements. Friendly people all around. Of course be mindful of your personal belongings. There are boat rides, came rides, and some merry go rounds toward the center of the park. Three major monuments at either side of the park serving as historical national unity symbols. The grounds are relatively nice for day time walks and ice cream.

I spent a whole Saturday afternoon with my wife and kids. We had a picnic on the green well manicured grass. There were some bouncing castles were the kids had fun. We rode a paddle boat my wife and It was awesome.

Great place for relaxation. Maybe even a picnic. The surroundings are cool and my kids enjoyed the swings. But watch out for street urchins who hangout near parking areas. And wherever there's food.

This is an amusement park for family and enjoy meals. It is not that big but good for spending evening here. food variety is good and quality is good. it is not very expensive and your whole family can enjoy meal even mutton at good price. I recommend to spend some time with family here. Although I am tourist but spent time with my team at many occasions. My team always enjoyed it.

Having a park in the middle dale of a city was a great plan by the Britons and it has been a struggle for leaders not to turn it into some business hub. On weekdays it’s not as busy with activity and one gets to rest and enjoy the cool breeze. On weekends and public holidays it becomes a beehive of activities mostly geared for kids entertainment.

Nairobi City's central recreation park. Theme park operators available mainly on weekends with a lot of children activities. Restaurants, washrooms and parking available. Security is moderate so take care of your belongings. Some sections are great for photo shoots and there is boat riding on the small man made lake. It is an important landmark with plenty of political historical references.

It was my second time visiting Uhuru park but for my niece it was her first time. She had fun. Her first time to enjoy such fun activities. The bouncing castle was her best. It was thrilling. The horses were very friendly. The vendors and all the staffs at the park made our moments exuberant. We will always come back for more fun and let our friends know of it. Nairobi is a city full of fun. Uhuru park confirmed all this. Kudos to the management.

Uhuru Park has seen its better days. It is a dirty, crowded, unkempt public access Park, filled with Street urchins, traders and layabouts. The County Government isn't too bothered about its current situation; grass is hardly cut.

Uhuru park has gone downhill from how it was in the past. Before the city council used to manage it well. Now the lake is polluted and it is insecure at night. I ask the county government to restore it to its former glory and even improve it. On the positive, the landmarks are very appealing and has a African touch to it.

It's a great outdoor arena. Take your kids if you would like to. Sometimes it hosts functions so do a check first if you're interested in specific sites.

Uhuru Park is a recreational centre within Nairobi. It has a water front where people can take boat rides at an affordable price. There are also luscious green grass for people to meet up and/or rest. Photography is allowed. The park overlooks the Intercontinental hotel and parliament buildings. It is also the venue where most political and prayer rallies are held, and where Kenya's new constitution was officially launched/promulgated.

Its the biggest public park within Nairobi County CBD and its a free park for anyone to go and rest.The park is from time to time used for political events and other National and Non Governmental events. The Park is managed by the Nairobi City Council Government and its always clean and well kept. There are a number of small scale traders selling snacks,sweets,water and soda. The Park has a water pool with fish and one can enjoy a stay in the park by renting out light foot peddled boats. The parks offers an affordable family day out rest area on weekends and mostly kids Loves this Park as there are people selling kids merchandise and doing Face Painting.

Nairobi's best public park. Located opposite CBD along Uhuru Highway. Recreational facilities include: Camel ride, Boat ride and sports. Uhuru park also hosts an open ground meeting facility complete with a platform to mount Public address system. The grass is nicely done and poses a great place for relaxation.

It is a good place for family fun but it is also a bit overcrowded because there is no entry fee. Popular with political rallies and open air preaching. It is also not so safe at night as street urchins frequent the place.
