Great for family affair. Nice swimming pool facility for children and adults. Very ran environment. Fresh food, nice pizza and fresh juice. Friendly staff. You can pay by card, mpesa and cash.

Best place to stay in Kisumu. Great food, grate atmosphere. They have gym and swimming pool. They have a quite lounge and a sports bar- you and select based on your mood. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Bathrooms are also contemporary. Internet is great. Sufficient packing space. Staff is also great.

If you are looking for comfort, serenity, class, peace and calm away from town then the Vic is your thing. Rooms so good, bed so comfy I overslept. The breakfast is something else, a variety to choose from, quality, nutritious, finger licking. Just the best.

For the business traveler in Kisumu, The Vic is always a great choice. Located right within the town area, yet securely housed in a good location within a shopping mall area. Very easy to access other parts of town and one is able to make use of the various business services at the shopping mall which includes a supermarket, restaurants and friendly bar area. This is especially good for those who like to keep within a 100 meter radius of the hotel at night.

The hotel ambiance is very warm and friendly with a large lobby area. The windows in the room are shielded with fine mesh to keep the mosquitoes out so you can easily choose to sleep with your windows open. Rooms also have Air Conditioning.

What will I remember for a long time? The Breakfast! Very nice Breakfast. What did I like most? the interior deco' and the very helpful staffNow, being a lover of Arts, I admired your wall hangings; until I landed in my room and found a very conspicuous "somewhat offensive" wall hanging of a naked person. I wondered what I would have told my curious child had I come in with him. Thankfully, one of the hotel staff told me that I wasn't the first guest to voice a concern and that the Hotel Management "has been looking into it" lol. Apart from thay, the Vic is a great place to stay. Keep it up.

One of the great hotels in Kisumu City. Well located on Nairobi highway. The restaurant offers great fish and ugali. Don't forget to sample their milkshakes too.

Good ambience,staff are friendly at least the standards are consistent but sometimes there is no welcome drink ! However, its 90/100 for me . There is always a special feeling being at The Vic !

Vic has been home away from home since 2009. Watched it grow from the small establishment to a large hotel. Exellent guest service and it is always nice to come to people who know you by name. In this hotel I am not a guest, I am family.

Found this place by accident when driving across country and decided to stay the night. Not much curb appeal but walk in the lobby and you know you are at a nice place. The staff was very friendly. The price seemed right for what it offered. Sadly the WiFi was down when we arrived and it took several hours for it to be solved. The power was going on and off all night, more than 10 times in a 2 hour period. It was small shut offs which isn’t the hotels fault but their backup generator kept switching on and off creating further frustration; they should have left it running until power was stable. DSTV takes almost 10 minutes to power up so watching TV was a nightmare and we finally gave up. TV socket also didn’t work but since I had an extension we connected to another socket and solved it ourselves. Woke up in the morning and found no hot water. Called the desk and said no one was around to look at the problem I’d have to wait until later. We were planning to hit the road early so cold showers here we come! Turns out you just have to run the water for 10 minutes before the hot water comes. So much for conserving water. The breakfast offered was very good!

The Vic is situated next to a garbage dump which during my stay was constantly emitting a pungent smell. The Indian restaurant serves very good food and it being next to a mall brings about a good level of convenience.
