The reception was a splendid one. Especially allocating an apartment to me as I got there in the early hours of 4.30am when my booking was to commence 11am.

First of all, when I got into this hotel I was surprised by the ambiance. Bearing in mind its location i was just expecting anything. The ambiance is 5*. However, apart from that there is nothing to write about the experience. The service is below expected standards. Either the service people dont know what is on the menu or they just write things up the menu. I was dissapointed when I ordered breakfast and they wouldnt serve what wss in the menu. If that was not enough after complaining no service attendant wanted to serve me anymore. Bottomline, if you prepare a nice place to such standards atleast live up to the perceived standards!

It would be an excellent hotel if the restrooms didn't vent into the lobby and restraunt area. Smelling poop while your sitting on computer in lobby is horrible, can't even drink your tea.

To high price when you look at the slow and at some times poor service they give. The room was so-so, really need sn upgrade. Stayed in other hotels that cost half of this and the double size of this one! Sunrise will not be a choise next time, unless they upgrade both their service and the rooms. Grayson hotel is better than this and ubder half the price (downtown Nairobi).

Food is ok.,.room cleanliness is good, decent Wi-Fi. Customer care and service is not satisfactory (among few). Some times orders taken and told that item is not available after 1/2 hour.

Place is run down. It's in a bad area of town. Music all night long. Not very welcoming staff and I didn't even want to try the food. I'd suggest people find alternative accommodations.

Awful. Just awful.
- Loud nightclub/bar next door playing loud music until 4am
- Electricity didn't work in the room (couldn't charge electrical items including phone)
- Shower didn't work
- Customer service shambolic - didn't move me to a quieter room (there were some available). Not offered didn't offer any sort of partial refund.
- All this for the bargain price of $35.

The rooms are too tiny yes mine was a single room but was just too tiny , the preset television channels available are fake for all that money they are charging for rooms they should atleast get DSTV.
In general rooms are over priced not worth all that.

Worst experience ever..
Only go to sunrise if you are desperate..
There is loud pentecostal church on Sundays. Cant sleep nothing.. just noise and continuous noise.. terrible.. wifi not working.. so stuck cant communicate..

Electric sockets are not working. Really tiny room. Worst hotel I have ever been to. They couldn't even offer a solution to the problem. Told me I cannot get another room even when this issue could be fixed. Avoid like the plague.

Really close to the city center. Affordable prices, friendly staff, comfortable beds.
Breakfast could be better and it is really annoying that all electricity turns off when the key-card is removed from the holder you can only charge your appliances when in the room.

I LOVED every second i spent in this home away from home.
Staff were courteous, friendly, kind and understanding. The breakfast was nice. The maintenance staff were highly efficient. It is located close to everything anyone will need.
They made my first ever visit to Kenya a wonderful experience
