  Shimoni slave caves is a great tourism center for both local and international tourists. It has historical importance dating back to the slave trade era. It was a depot where slaves were picked up for transit.

  It’s great place to visit to learn about the slave trade. Beware of the bats. Not too alarm you, they only fruits.

  This is a historic site that will just make you catch your breath as you see how the slaves were captures and trapped inside the caves even the remains of the chains that used to hold them fast when they were being whipped.

  Interesting. Reminder of how inhumane people can be.
  
  The caves themselves are pretty extensive but the tour only covers a small portion. The bats were an unexpected surprise.
  
  The tour guide was great, gave a thorough explanation of the history of the caves.
