We visited the place with the hopes of seeing dolphins, but unfortunately we didn't. I loved the place, however. Very coastal, tasty dishes and friendly locals. I'm planning to visit the island soon! A nice getaway.

Wasini Island is a wondrous isle.In the hot midday, the ocean haze seems more enchanting than ever and as you
draw near, the ferocious ocean hurls itself at the island.Dolphins regularly glide across these waters of wonder and sailors to the island can snorkel and deep dive along the sail. On the island, strands of trees thrive, mangroves and coconut palms serenely and apart from ocean whispers everything else is
calm. Edging the island is the sun-bleached supple sand. Wasini village in the island is a model world, safe and peaceful. Ancient
Swahili ruins lie in the village. Every year visitors in their numbers visit to stroll along the scrub and dine on fresh sea food at a small restaurant in the island. Shimon village is the launching point for tours to the mystique island.

One of the best snorkeling experiences of my life. The coral reef it's sooooo beautiful! Unfortunately it looks like global warming and the rise of the sea temperature will soon bleach them out (yes, the water was really really warm). Hope mass tourism won't destroy it either! Saw some tourists throwing plastic bottles out of the boat outrageous!!! All efforts are required to preserve this natural wonder.
The village doesn't worth the visit, its shores are full of garbage. A shame that locals don't take care of their own and most precious treasure

Great day trip. This really was the point where I decompressed and started enjoying the Kenyan coast. Great snorkelling and diving you can spend a week out here.
