We preferred going to this orphanage because we had less time and wanted a closer look at the animals then what we would get at the national park. It was drizzling so there was no visitor except for me and my brother. We loved our experience with the guides and the animals. We were up.close with lions, cheetahs, leopards, various birds and mammals. The guide was so nice he let us touch n play with the cheetah from the cage. It was an unforgettable experience. Loved it and will love to visit again.

Really enjoyed. Several wild animals to see. Was lucky to see them being fed.
Tip: go around 3 pm, that's when they're being fed!

A must visit location at the Kenya Wildlife Services headquarters. This is a park with various wild animals that have been caged to allow very close viewing proximity. Each animal is well described and one can opt for a guided tour or self tour depending on your knowledge. Fantastic for children to learn about wildlife and great as a weekend activity. Also a quick visit for day guests in the city who may want to briefly have a feel of Nairobi

The animal orphanage is not as I remember it as a kid but it still has lions and a leopard. The two animals you might not spot while on a drive through the park. During feeding times the action is superb if you have a little one with you. I was a bit disappointed that not all the "big five" were present.

A nice place to view the big 4 of wildlife. These are lion, Leopard, Rhino and Buffalo. Of the big five only the Elephant is missing. The Orphanage is 10 km from the city center.

I visited on 31st December 2017. It is very easy and convenient to hang around and visit different animals, such as Lion (they are many), Crocodile, Hyena, Tiger, Big cat, different birds, Buffalo, etc. Welcome to Nairobi Animal Orphanage.

It's a nice place for the whole family to get a closer look at wild animals which includes Lions, cheetahs, Monkeys, Warthogs etc.

Affordable entry, good place to hang out with kids on weekends and public holidays. They can do much better with the washrooms, they have the ammonia smell and they lack tissue paper and soap. This would be a good place to promote hygiene since it's used by a lot of people.

One of the best animal sanctuary within any city! The distance to the location is not that far from town that allows one to drop by anytime. I love the parking area around this place, nice friendly park attendants. The most of all you got to see giraffes and most wild animals most people spent their good time going upcountry to see wild animals in National parks. Instead; just pop in here and you will enjoy yourself well. A park within the city.

It is not a real orphanage at all. We payed 44$ for nothing. I think it is a trap for tourist to name it like that. It's good for locals not when u pay as a tourist in dollars!

Fun. Informative. Cultured. Econimical

The walk around to see the animal was great for leisure and very informative about the wildlife as they have postings all over.
Had a pleasant picnic (minus the baboons that threatened to take my basket. Well they are part of nature so nothing too major.You just need to be alert)

when it comes to animal viewing experience it was fantastic but I had a horrible experience when a baboon attacked me and jumped on me 5 times. all that time I was screaming for help but the park helpers were just staring at us. I had 2 small children 1, 5 years and the other one 3 years old.
one of the helpers intervened reluctantly after 8 min. this was a very scary experience . when I complained to the customer care "guards" they were all very defensive and told me that IT WAS YOUR FAULT AS YOU DID NOT HIRE A GUARD ALSO CARRYING A BAG CONTAINING FOOD.

Sad to see animals in cages here but they are at least safe and alive. It's a nice place though and worth a visit, animals are nice and friendly, good photo opportunity. Monkeys wandering free are fun. Lions, Cheaters, birds and others rescued from wild.
