  Roads were under reconstruction when we went in January 2018 and so you couldn't drive your car through the park beyond 2km.

  Mount Kenya Naro Moru Gate has a very spacious house with 2 Master bedrooms and 2 rooms with double beds, hence ideal for families or groups that are traversing through the forests along Mount Kenya region. This house offers self-catering with a fully furnished kitchen for preparing of your meals. This place is ideal for individuals who want to explore Mount Kenya or somewhere quiet for reflection and bonding with fellow friends and family.

  awesome place but i havent been on top reached the met station well for anyone visiting this place carry warm clothing its extremely cold here

  The Mt. Kenya Trek - Naromoru Route is rated as Difficult. I found out why The first trek from the Naromoru park gate (2400 meters above sea level/ASL) to the Met Station was so much fun! Birds of rare species, water bucks, Columbus monkeys, baboons and bamboo forest was part of the scenery. Met station is at 10,000 feet high! Day 2 saw our group and the porters head to Picnic Rocks (approximately 12,000 feet ASL) - very cold, tough moorland covered in mud, streams and rocks. I suffered altitude sickness and had to turn back to Met station for recovery. Day 3 - took a walk down to the park gate to stretch out my muscles while the rest of my team trekked all the way to the tip of the mountain - Point Lenana.
