Longonot Volcano

  Longonot Volcano is the essence of Longonot National Park there is also a small sister volcano on the side. It is very well visible if one is flying by plane over, e.g. the SafariLink connection going North from Nairobi. Also very much worthwhile to climb of course, which is a literally breathtaking activity! It is just a few hours drive from Nairobi.

  The place is easy to reach. The agents at the gate assist you and it takes no much time. A ranger can assist you for any help in your way to the top.

  If you plan to hike this mountain, be sure to carry lots of water and may be some food for the day. Staff are very helpful in informing hikers what time is best to climb.

  A couple of hours drive from Nairobi, it isn't a tough mountain to climb unlike Mt. Kenya and Kilimanjaro. Consider this one a warm up to other mountain climbs.
