The hospital is always busy.
One thing I have noted is that some employees seems to lack customer care. The are no telephone extensions for ease of communication. This leads to a trend of sending patients back and forth to request a dispensing agent to add items on the bill. The cashier Josephart was rude and could not explain why they were sending us back to dispensing lady .Profiling patients on the amount of bills that one pays trying to show that they are not important is the lowest an employee can express their lack of decorum .Or they were wishing we had complicated medical cases to benefit to pay a fortune? They need to be retrained on what to say to a client.Disappointed!
I visited the hospital on 26th June 2018 and spent better part of the day there seeking treatment. Process from casualty up to dispensing counter was good.
Worst experience was after I filled the insurance claim form and I was promised that I would be contacted as soon as approval was given by my insurer. After two weeks of waiting I called the hospital severally and I would always be referred to the optical reception who would promise to call back but they never do. On 24 July 2018 I visited the hospital and I was referred to executive billing office where I met young man who told me that my insurance company was unable to give approval because their system was down, of course he was lying because system of a reputable company cannot be down for almost one month. On 26th July 2018 I was called but I was unable to pick the call, when I called back the following day the lady who picked told me that the person who had called me was out of the office but he would ask him to call me. I was never called.
I have since asked my insurer to cancel the approval to Lions Hospital and am seeking treatment elsewhere. The few rotten staff at the hospital should be removed before they spoil the hospital.
There’s enough free parking inside. And if parking is full street parking is safe and it’s not monitored by Nairobi city county.
Lions has good service, the staff is helpful and assists with directions to the department you require help from.
The 3 different buildings house several departments.
They take cash, ATM cards, NHIF, Mpesa.
Prescription pricing is reasonable. The treatment is specialized. The Drs. are very experienced and are great to work with.
Poor customer service, unmotivated staff and the waiting aargh! I had to wait for more than an hour to get a simple theatre booking, a date.
Very caring staff.. Quality services especially in terms of healthcare..Doctors are so concerned.. With eye, ear or dental issues Lions is the best place to be
Be prepared to lose a whole day waiting in line. Patience pays.
For some reason, this is a popular wedding venue. Really weird.
I just love this place my grandma was operated her both eyes with an insurance cover of NHIF which paid a Sam of 260000/= for laser type of surgery which was successful all u need after surgery is to follow the instructions give & u'll be able to enjoy life with sight
Patience pays in this place. But pretty okay.
I love this place simply because the Drs. Who are there are really doing their jobs perfectly my Dad's eyes were operated herein this eye hospital. Their surgery is always very good my father is now seeing clearly like in the past.
Misdiagnosis.
I am still in shock that your so called "specialists " couldn't make a diagnosis of hypertension. My client has been attending your hospital for a year but you failed to get the get the root cause of the increased pressure on the eyes. Only three days ago that a diagnosis of hypertension was made by a different doctor from a different facility. All you could do was to prescribe the eye drops and the repeated ordering of HVF test.
I'm wondering which school did your ophthalmologists attend such that taking a detailed history is an issue.
We are in the process of suing you since my client could have lost his eyesight due to your incompetence.
Hehehe reading these comments i feel like we went to a different place. Staff is rude and slow. You take hours just to be attended to and people few. FIX IT!
Poor poor service been there twice spent hours and the second time wasn't even busy.experienced one rude and annoying gentleman upstairs he ignored us a couple of times we only got served when we got angry.PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME GOING TO LIONS. . If you need check up just go to optica it's
1.cheaper
2.faster
3.better service they do care about their customers
