I have been here multiple times and each time I am blown away by the staff and location. Lewa Safari Camp is a very special place, not only do you get an amazing safari experience. You also get to know the staff that make this such an amazing place. Every day when you come "home" from safari you get a friendly greeting and enjoyable company. I would say if you are making your way to Kenya, do not miss this place!

Lewa Safari camp is a perfect mixed between luxury and wilderness camp. If your dream is to see rhinos in their natural behavior, search no more go there. The food at Lewa Safari Camp is perfect, much better than most of very good restaurant in big city but even with an African Safari touch.

My wife and I just returned from a lovely 3-day, 2-night stay at Lewa Safari Camp. Lewa is one of the many Cheli and Peacock properties in Kenya. We have now stayed at Lewa and Joy's Camp. Friends have stayed at quite a few of the others and all have said that their experiences were good. Lewa Safari Camp is a luxury tented camp experience with good food, good accommodations and good guides/drivers in an interesting location. We lucked out on the weather, which easily could have been wet at the beginning of May, but for us was stunning - warm and clear during the days and quite chilly in the morning/evening, so the fire in the lodge was quite welcome. Mt. Kenya was clear in the distance and the rolling grasslands of the conservancy made for a stunning backdrop for the surrounding hills and the wildlife.
We had wonderfully close encounters with black and white rhino, elephant, cheetah, lion, Grevy Zebra (and common zebra), jackal and many other species while there. Daniel was an excellent spotter and very knowledgeable about the animals and their habitats.
We will certainly go back, if we get a chance.response / report this review
