The Pap is a rare find. Lily, the manager, met our group carside, and walked us in. As we walked up the covered pathway to the front entrance, we began to catch glimpses of the art, craft, and hospitality that combined to create a cozy, relaxing retreat for the next three days.

Common areas are open and airy. Traditional African art adorns every wall, corner, and crevice. The rooms are well appointed with impressive and rustic timber beds, rich fabrics, and large windows along with a large TV with satellite programming and a stocked mini-bar full of complementary snacks, sodas, and water. Wifi is also complementary throughout the grounds. There is a swimming pool, hot tub, and small but very well equipped gym.

The food is delightful. Breakfast is cooked to order and each dinner is unique and delicious. Food from various cultures is served and during our stay curry chicken, hamburgers, and beef stir fry were the selection. There is also lunch service, although we didn't eat in during our stay.

Finally, the service is really what sets the Pap apart from everywhere else I have stayed. You are made to feel at home from the moment you arrive. Lily and the staff are constantly looking for ways to assist, be it lighting the fire pit poolside on a chilly evening or bring glass after glass of fresh and pulpy juice concoctions to you at all hours.

I cannot wait to return and stay again, perhaps for a bit longer the next time.
