Located at the shores of Lake Victoria.in Mbita Constituency is the Lodge. The silence of the lodge is only disturbed by the roaring tides of the lake. The breeze from the Lake offers an excellent cooling from the high temperatures of the Nyanza region. The excellent view of the Mbita Bridge, Rusinga Island , Rusinga Island Plains.are some of the things that can keep you for long at the lodge. The rooms are traditionally built as per the culture of the residents. Which means they are round, or do we say cylindricalthen they have a tip which makes them look like a sharp pencil.
The food and beverage prices are affordable.
The place is easily accessible by good tarmac road. Infact the road swings as it gives you the exposure, teasing you from time to time with the view of the Lake Victoria and its several beaches.

This is a scenic view of the lake with a cool beach and a cultured bush. The hotel offers lake swimming and has cottages singly located in wide cool and cosy environment. The service is great.

Camped for 3 nights. Nice place to chill for a few days.and to be based (as we did) for a cycling tour. Would suggest the camping bathroom is cleaned more oftenbut this is a minor inconvenience in the scheme of things.

A bit difficult to find, but a beautiful, serene, and comfortable environment to relax and enjoy a decent view of Lake Victoria. The place is much more affordable than many of the lodges on Rusinga Island, yet is clean, serves good food, and the hosts are accommodating. Enjoy!
