  Our stay at Cottar's was so far above and beyond expectations, I can't recommend it highly enough! Everything was amazing from the tents to the guides to the food and all aspects of service. Our guide Wilson and driver were exceptional too - twice in one day they found leopards and we were the only ones around to see them! Our tent was beautiful and private with lovely views out toward Tanzania. Get a massage and take an outdoor bubble baths if you get a chance - well worth it! We even had some friendly eland visit us in our tent! We've been to the Mara and neighboring reserves before, but I would only want to stay at Cottar's when I go back. It's the best!

  You can only know how it feels being at Cottars when you get there. It has the best view overlooking the hills over the Serengeti,beautiful sunsets you can never see anywhere. The most luxurious place with authenticity and the feel of the 1920s safari.

  Best experience in the Mara! Warmth and hospitality that we didn't want to leave. Our guide was the most knowledgeable Mara guide I've ever met, on both the wildlife and the Maasai culture. The rooms were stunning and comfortable and very private. The entire set up genuinely makes you feel like you are in the 1920's.
