Great spot for taking your family for an weekend outing. They offer great foods, especially barbecue, (nyama choma), fried goat and e great selection of drinks. Being next to a man-made lake, the view is fantastic and the breeze is calming. You can take a boat ride with your family and friends or go on a speed boat ride. The road from Thika Road(about 1.5km) is not in a good condition but the drive is worth it.

This hidden gem I found when visiting a buddy in Ruiru. This place just at the edge of the dam has a view, and it's awesome. Nice peaceful location to relax and unwind over beers or food. There are several small pubs/restaurant just next to it so you get to choose between them if one doesn't work for you.

This is the awesomest place I've been to. How does it sound to have a drink or have a meeting on top of the dam? How does it feel to enjoy the tides as you relax on those seats? Go to this place and you will not regret. Speed boats and other water sports are available. Kudos Courtesy Beach Ruiru

Place has good roasted meat and has a wonderful scenery of the river which around it they have modified the scenery to look like a beach. The place is big enough to hold a family gathering.
